Electromagnetic behaviour of superconductive amorphous metals

The penetration depth of the magnetic field into an amorphous superconductor is calculated. The ratio of the London penetration depth δL to the electron free path le under zero temperature is above unity for almost all amorphous metals. That is why pure metals, in a superconducting state, change from type I superconductors to type II superconductors during the crystalline–amorphous transition.
Heat Capacity of Mesoscopic Superconducting Disks

We study the heat capacity of isolated giant vortex states, which are good angular momentum ($L$) states, in a mesoscopic superconducting disk using the Ginzburg-Landau (GL) theory. At small magnetic fields the $L$=0 state qualitatively behaves like the bulk sample characterized by a discontinuity in heat capacity at $T_c$. As the field is increased the discontinuity slowly turns into a continuous change which is a finite size effect. The higher $L$ states show a continuous change in heat capacity at $T_c$ at all fields. CF3: An Electron-Withdrawing Substituent for Aromatic Anion Acceptors? “Side-On” versus “On-Top” Binding of Halides

The ability of multiple CF3 -substituted arenes to act as acceptors for anions is investigated. The results of quantum-chemical calculations show that a high degree of trifluoromethyl substitution at the aromatic ring results in a positive quadrupole moment. However, depending on the polarizability of the anion and on the substitution at the arene, three different modes of interaction, namely Meisenheimer complex, side-on hydrogen bonding, or anion-π interaction, can occur. Experimentally, the side-on as well as a η(2) -type π-complex are observed in the crystal, whereas in solution only side-on binding is found.

Masteroppgave kunstfag KF500 - Universitetet i Agder 2018 I denne undersøkinga har eg undersøkt effekten ved bruk av sjølvkomponert tilpassa noterepertoar i eit av mine juniorkorps, over ein periode på omlag 3 månadar. Dette vart gjort med mål om å læra meir om kva for fordeler og ulemper slikt tilpassa repertoar kunne føra med seg inn i undervisningssituasjonen. Val av tema, blei valt grunna personlege frustrasjonar knyta til den eksisterande repertoarlitteraturen som finnast for juniorkorps, og korleis denne litteraturen gjorde juniorkorpspraksisen utfordrande å gjennomføra. Sudzuki transcendentālfilozofijas interpretācijā” ir veltīts tam, lai pētītu 20.gadsimta japāņu domātāja Daisecu Teitaro Sudzuki (Daisetz Teitaro Suzuki) darbos pausto Meistara Ekharta – 13.gadsmta vācu filozofa, teologa un mistiķa – domas salīdzinājumu ar budisma mācību. D. T. Sudzuki ir domātājs, kurš izvirza pieņēmumu, ka Meistars Ekharts savos darbos pauž uzskatus, kas ir ļoti tuvi vai pat vienādi ar budisma filozofiju, kaut arī 13.gadsimtā Eiropā budisms nebija zināms.

The stability of the 24-meric hemocyanin from Eurypelma californicum towards various denaturants (GdnHCl, urea, urea derivatives and salts of the Hofmeister series) indicates that the quaternary structure is stabilized by hydrophilic and polar forces. Thus, the interaction between the seven different subunit types of this cheliceratan hemocyanin is comparable with that of the closely related crustacean hemocyanins. In contrast, no significant influence of divalent ions such as Ca2+ and Mg2+ on the stability is observed at pH 8.0 and pH 8.5 but not at pH 7.0. Lai šo mērķi sasniegtu tiek analizēta un apzināta rakstītajos vēstures avotos un histeriogrāfijā pieejamā materiāla apjoms par šaujamieroču attīstības pirmsākumiem Latvijas teritorijā un to apstiprinošiem faktiem - Livonijas ordeņa piļu un būvju pārbūve, fortifikācijas būvju un aizsardzības sistēmu uzlabošana sākot ar 15. gadsimtu, sniedz neapstrīdamas liecības. El difunto Matías Pascal se sitúa dentro de las primeras obras de Pirandello y se considera como un punto de inflexión dentro de la poética del autor. En esta novela se desarrolla el problema de la identidad, el conflicto entre la realidad y ficción, entre otros. En esta investigación, se propone la posibilidad de hacer una lectura existencial del personaje Adriano Meis a partir de la configuración de la identidad. Elementos claves en su desarrollo y en el análisis de este trabajo son la relación entre Matías Pascal y Adriano Meis, la relación de la sociedad con Adriano y la utilización de la muerte como una escapatoria.
