Tutkimuksessa tarkasteltiin, miten duurisävellajissa menevä musiikki voi välittää melankolisen tai surullisen emootion. Kysymyksenasettelulla pyrittiin kyseenalaistamaan yksinkertaistava emootiokonventio duurisävellajin iloisuudesta ja kiinnitettiin huomiota perusemootiokategorisoinnin (ilo-suru-dikotomia) riittämättömyyteen kuvaamaan musiikillista emootionvälitystä. Likewise, sexual selection can promote divergent patterns of senescence across the sexes. Melanogenesis is a process catalyzed by tyrosinase enzyme leading to synthesis of two types of pigment in the skin: black-brown eumelanin and red-yellow pheomelanin. Pheomelanin is synthesized in the second stage of melanosome maturation, while eumelanin-synthesizing melanosomes are inactive. The black-brown pigment is produced in the third stage of melanosome development. The last, fourth stage of melanosome maturation is characterized by low tyrosinase activity, which reflects the low pigment production in the skin. Melanoma ir ļaundabīgs audzējs, kas veidojas galvenokārt ādā no tur esošajiem melanocītiem. Melanomai ir raksturīga strauja slimības gaita un agrīna metastazēšanās. Tā ir rezistenta pret standarta terapeitiskajām metodēm. Ievērojamais nesenais progress melanomas ārstēšanā arī nav devis gaidītos rezultātus, tāpēc joprojām tiek meklēti jauni melanomas ārstēšanas paņēmieni. Larifan ir bakteriofāga izcelsmes dsRNS (bf-dsRNS), kas iegūta biotehnoloģiskā ceļā no ar bakteriofāgu inficētām E.Coli šūnām. Izmaiņas augsta un vidēja riska gēnos gados jauniem melanomas pacientiem

Melanoma ir ļaundabīgs ādas audzējs, kas attīstās vides un gēnu mijiedarbības rezultātā. Bakalaura darba mērķis bija izvērtēt izmaiņas augsta un vidēja riska gēnos melanomas pacientiem ar vairākiem primāriem audzējiem un gados jauniem (līdz 40 gadu vecumam) melanomas pacientiem Latvijā. Analīzē tika iekļauti seši pacienti ar vairākām primārām melanomām un 67 gados jauni melanomas pacienti. Tika izanalizēti pieci augsta (CDKN2A, CDK4, BAP1, POT1, TERT) un divi vidēja (MITF, MC1R) melanomas riska gēni. Atrastas trīs dažādas izmaiņas POT1 gēnā, no kurām viena ir jauna līdz šim neaprakstīta izmaiņa, viens rets MITF, divi CDKN2A un 8 dažādi MC1R gēnu polimorfismi. Izmaiņas BAP1, POT1 un CDK4 gēn…
