E inoltre la novità del loro ruolo centrale viene avvalorata da un cambiamento decisivo nella narrazione di Cain, la scelta della terza persona, che pone una distanza tra il narratore-autore reale e la protagonista, ma produce una maggiore presa di contatto tra la protagonista e il pubblico femminile, come avviene in Mildred Pierce e nella prima versione de La ragazza dei cocktail.

Stilbenes, especially resveratrol and its derivatives, have become famous for their positive effects on a wide range of medical disorders, as indicated by a huge number of published studies. A less investigated area of research is their antimicrobial properties.
