Abstract. Experimental engineering of high-dimensional quantum states is a crucial task for several quantum information protocols. However, a high degree of precision in the characterization of the noisy experimental apparatus is required to apply existing quantum-state engineering protocols. Pulsed Electro-Acoustic Method for specimens and cables employed in HVDC systems: Some feasibility considerations

Recent experiments on the use of the PEA method for testing dielectric materials in specimens and comparison with a detailed model provide an insight of the phenomenon and suggest the need of adopting similar models also for cables. What is said is even more important considering the possible future adoption of the PEA methodology to test DC cables for Pre-Qualification and Type Tests. Multi-application Based Fault-Tolerant Network-on-Chip Design for Mesh Topology Using Reconfigurable Architecture

In this paper, we propose a two-step fault-tolerant approach to address the faults occurred in cores. In the first stage, a Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) based approach has been proposed for the fault-tolerant mapping of multiple applications on to the mesh based reconfigurable architecture by introducing spare cores and a heuristic has been proposed for the reconfiguration in the second stage. Enhanced loss model algorithm for interior permanent magnet synchronous machines

This paper presents an experimental study on the impact of the parameter variations over the performances of a LMA (Loss Model Algorithm) designed for an IPMSM (Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Machine). In a previous work, the characterization was carried out by assessing, for several working conditions, the motor parameters that influence the motor efficiency. The proposed enhanced loss model algorithm is implemented in a rapid prototyping system and its performances, in term of efficiency, are compared with other control systems, obtaining promising results.

This review takes into account articles and standards published in recent years concerning the application of the Pulsed Electro Acoustic (PEA) method for space charge measurement on High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) cables and mini-cables. Synthesis and structural properties of hexaaza[5]helicene containing two [1,2,3]triazolo[1,5-a]pyridine moieties

Abstract We have synthesized a novel hexaaza[5]helicene in a straightforward way from neocuproine. The crystal structure has been elucidated with direct-space strategy TALP which demonstrates the power of the powder X-ray diffraction technique. In this crystal structure it is possible to see an interplanar angle of 33(1)° between the two triazolopyridine rings. The centrosymmetric crystal structure is a racemic mixture, but the resolution was not possible due to a ring-chain isomerization in a solution that produces a dynamic racemization.

Multioutput Automatic Emulator for Radiative Transfer Models

This paper introduces a methodology to construct emulators of costly radiative transfer models (RTMs). The proposed methodology is sequential and adaptive, and it is based on the notion of acquisition functions in Bayesian optimization. Here, instead of optimizing the unknown underlying RTM function, one aims to achieve accurate approximations. The Automatic Multi-Output Gaussian Process Emulator (AMO-GAPE) methodology combines the interpolation capabilities of Gaussian processes (GPs) with the accurate design of an acquisition function that favors sampling in low density regions and flatness of the interpolation function.
