Magnetic properties of Co2Mn1−xFexSi Heusler alloys

Co2Mn1−xFexSi Heusler alloys with Fe concentration x = 0–0.4 as prepared by arc melting show a L21 long range order for all Fe concentrations. Magnetic properties of Co2Mn1−xFexSi Heusler alloys were investigated by magnetometry and circular magnetic dichroism. The magnetization of the Fe doped Heusler alloys is in agreement with the Slater–Pauling values expected for half-metallic ferromagnets. Element specific magnetic moments as determined by x-ray absorption using the total electron yield method are in disagreement with theoretical predictions for x = 0 but approach the predicted values as the Fe concentration increases. Off-stoichiometry in Co2FeSi thin films sputtered from stoichiometric targets revealed by nuclear magnetic resonance

Co2FeSi is predicted to be a half-metallic ferromagnet with an extraordinary high magnetic moment and Curie temperature. However, a low tunnel magneto-resistance ratio, a lower spin polarization and a lower magnetic moment were experimentally observed in thin film samples. Consequently, thin Co2FeSi films of different groups were studied using spin-echo nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR). NMR probes the local hyperfine fields of the active atoms, which strongly depend on the local environment. NMR is thus able to reveal the next neighbouring shells of the Co-59 nuclei in the Co2FeSi thin films. High spin polarization in Co2CrAl–Cr superlattice

The electronic structure, magnetic properties and interface effects in Co2CrAl?Cr superstructures have been investigated by the use of first principle calculations. The results show that at the interface, a large magnetic moment and a high spin polarization can be induced by a strong ferromagnetic exchange interaction at the Cr?Co interface. However, at the CrAl?Cr interface, both the magnetic moment and the spin polarization of the Cr atoms are decreased due to a Cr?Cr antiferromagnetic interaction. Abstract The frameworks of the applicability of the semiclassical adiabatic approach suggested by Borras-Almenar, Coronado and Tsukerblat to the magnetic problem of mixed valence clusters are considered in a model taking into account magnetic exchange, double exchange and vibronic interaction. Papillary renal cell carcinoma (PRCC) is currently divided in 2 subtypes. We reviewed a large cohort of PRCC and correlated subtype, morphological features and diagnostic marker expression with overall survival (OS) to uncover differences between the 2 subtypes. Three hundred seventy-six renal tumors initially diagnosed as PRCC with clinical and survival data were collected from the participating centers. Objective This research presents evidence for an egocentric shift occurring among individuals high in Neuroticism by the mere thought-and actual state-of being alone. Method Four experiments and one experience sampling study (N = 719). In the experiments, Neuroticism was measured, and participants were randomly primed to adopt either an alone or a "with others" social context mind-set.
