Positive Turn in Elder-Care Workers' Views Toward Telecare Robots.

AbstractRobots have been slowly but steadily introduced to welfare sectors. Our previous observations based on a large-scale survey study on Finnish elder-care workers in 2016 showed that while robots were perceived to be useful in certain telecare tasks, using robots may also prove to be incompatible with the care workers’ personal values. The current study presents the second wave of the survey data from 2020, with the same respondents (N = 190), and shows how these views have changed for the positive, including higher expectations of telecare robotization and decreased concerns over care robots’ compatibility with personal values. Combined People Position and Compass Detection for Context-aware Service Provision

A novel technique is discussed for people identification and position sensing in augmented reality by the use of two cooperating technologies. People are provided with RFID tags for localization and context definition, and then visually investigated for identity checking and compass detection. The two technologies are discussed within an implementation of a case study dealing with context aware service provision for students in a campus.

Bakalaura darbā tika veikti šādi uzdevumi: 1)Literatūras darbu apskats plazmas izlādes gaismas avotiem par LU Atomfizikas un spektroskopijas institūta veiktajiem augstfrekvences bezelektrodu lampu pētījumiem; 2)Joda augstfrekvences bezelektrodu lampu spektru pētījumi pie dažādiem to darbināšanas parametriem; 3)Spektrālo līniju avotu izmantošanas iespējas. Iegūtie rezultāti parāda, ka LU Atomfizikas un spektroskopijas institūtā izgatavotās augstfrekvences bezelektrodu lampas ir piemērotas joda atomu koncentrāciju noteikšanai stratosfērā un troposfērā un joda atoma pāreju varbūtības noteikšanā. Interpersonal forgiveness and meaning in life in older adults: The mediating and moderating roles of the religious meaning system

Forgiving others may play an important role in achieving meaning in life as it offers a valuable platform for deliberate moral acts of acceptance of positive affect, behaviour, and cognition towards a transgressor. The aim of this paper was to analyse the relationship between forgiveness and presence, and the search for meaning in life, as well as the mediating role of the religious meaning system in this relationship among older adults. A total of 205 older adults, 112 women and 93 men, participated in the study. The mean age was 72.59.
