As an emerging nanotechnology, quantum-dot cellular automata (QCA) has been considered an alternative to CMOS technology that suffers from problems such as leakage current. Moreover, QCA is suitable for multi-valued logic due to the simplicity of implementing fuzzy logic in a way much easier than CMOS technology. In this paper, a quaternary cell is proposed with two isolated layers because of requiring three particles to design this quaternary cell. Polifarmācija ir vismaz 5 zāļu vienlaicīga lietošana, kas visbiežāk novērota vecākiem cilvēkiem un cilvēkiem ar multimorbiditāti. Polifarmācija ir saistīta ar palielinātām zāļu izmaksām, nepareizu zāļu lietošanu, zāļu mijiedarbību un blakusparādību risku. Darba mērķis bija izpētīt polifarmācijas izplatību Latvijas pacientu vidū un farmaceitu iesaisti pacientu izglītošanā par pareizu zāļu lietošanu. Tika izmantota pacientu un aptiekā strādājošo farmācijas speciālistu anketēšana. Saņemtas 81 pacientu un 47 farmācijas speciālistu anketas. In this paper a kinematic model of the polygon action in large chains of loop-sorting-systems is proposed. Multi-modality of polysomnography signals’ fusion for automatic sleep scoring

Objective: The study aims to develop an automatic sleep scoring method by fusing different polysomnography (PSG) signals and further to investigate PSG signals’ contribution to the scoring result. Methods: Eight combinations of four modalities of PSG signals, namely electroencephalogram (EEG), electrooculogram (EOG), electromyogram (EMG), and electrocardiogram (ECG) were considered to find the optimal fusion of PSG signals. Population of nuclides with Z≥98 in multi-nucleon transfer reactions of 48Ca + 248Cm

The results for nuclei above curium, produced in multi-nucleon transfer reactions of 48Ca + 248Cm at the velocity filter SHIP of GSI Darmstadt, are presented. Spontaneous fission and α-activities have been used to study the population of nuclei with lifetimes ranging from few milliseconds to several days. We observed several, relatively neutron-rich isotopes with atomic numbers Z≥98; among them a weak 224 millisecond activity which we tentatively attributed to 260No. The measured cross-sections of the observed nuclei give hope that multi-nucleon transfer reactions are a way to reach new neutron-rich heavy and superheavy nuclei, which are not accessible in other reactions.
