The insertion of a [Fe(sal_2 trien)]^+ complex cation into a 2D oxalate network in the presence of different solvents results in a family of hybrid magnets with coexistence of magnetic ordering and photoinduced spin crossover (LIESST effect) in compounds [Fe^{III}(sal_2 trien)][Mn^{II}Cr^{III}(ox)_3]·CHCl_3 (1·CHCl_{3}) [Fe^{III}(sal_{2} trien)][Mn^{II}Cr^{III}(ox)_{3}]·CHBr_{3} (1·CHBr_{3}) and [Fe^{III}(sal_{2} trien)][Mn^{II}Cr^{III}(ox)_{3}]·CH_{2}Br_{2} (1·CH_{2}Br_{2}). In soil magnetometry, two types of measurements are usually performed. The first type is measurements performed on the soil surface, frequently using an MS2D sensor. The second type includes measurements of magnetic susceptibility carried out in the soil profile, usually to a depth of about 30 cm. Up to now, such measurement results were analyzed separately. In the last several years, bone anchored hearing aids have proven to be useful in treating conductive and mixed unilateral or bilateral hearing loss, as well as for sensorineural unilateral hearing loss. The Sophono Alpha 1 model has the advantage of not requiring an abutment, with it being coupled by magnetism instead. We report the cases of 3 infants with congenital malformations of external and middle ear. Audiometry showed conductive hearing loss. All 3 patients were implanted with Alpha 1 model (Sophono). The reaction of [Cr3IIIO(OAc)6(H2O)3]NO3·AcOH with 2-hydroxynaphthaldehyde, 2-amino-isobutyric acid and NiCl2·6H2O in MeOH, under basic and solvothermal conditions, led to the formation of the quasi-1D coordination polymer {[CrIII2NiII(L)4(MeOH)2]}n (where L = the dianion of the Schiff base between 2-hydroxynaphthaldehyde and 2-amino-isobutyric acid), which behaves as a ferromagnetic chain, displaying slow relaxation of magnetization.

Intercalation of two-dimensional oxalate-bridged molecule-based magnets into layered double hydroxide hosts

Here we report the intercalation of a MnII–CrIII oxalate-bridged extended network into the interlamellar space offered by a ZnII–AlIII LDH host. This material exhibits ferrimagnetic ordering below 3 K from dominant antiferromagnetic interactions between metallic centres through the oxalate linker. Our result opens the door for the design of a completely new sort of hybrid magnetic multilayers from molecule-based magnets and layered inorganic flexible hosts, where the intrinsic properties of both sub-layers can be combined.

The determination of the magnetic properties of molecular magnets in environments similar to those used in spintronic devices is fundamental for the development of applications. Single-molecule magnets (SMMs) are molecular cluster systems that display magnetic hysteresis of dynamical origin at low temperature.
