Fuzzy Multi-Criteria Decision Making: An entropy-based approach to assess tourism sustainability

In this article, we propose a method for ranking tourist destinations and evaluating their performances under a sustainability perspective: a fuzzy multiple criteria decision-making method is applied for determining sustainability performance values and ranking destinations accordingly. We select a set of sustainability evaluation criteria and use a fuzzy analytic hierarchy process to weight the selected criteria. We also optimize each evaluator’s membership function support by means of a fuzzy entropy maximization criteria. SUMMARY The ability to navigate long distances to find rewarding flowers and return home is a key factor in the survival of honeybees (Apis mellifera). To reliably perform this task, bees combine both odometric and landmark cues,which potentially creates a dilemma since environments rich in odometric cues might be poor in salient landmark cues, and vice versa. This paper provides a comparative analysis of current Finnish and Scottish think tanks and reviews how think tanks in these countries have evolved, how think tanks seek to influence decision making and engage with their stakeholders. To address the ways of influence this paper looks how Finnish and Scottish think tanks describe themselves and how they use publications in their advocacy. Conducted content analysis indicates that usually registered association based Finnish think tanks are generally more research-focused organisations, who overall deploy more research publications for advocacy than the company based Scottish think tanks. Se someten a crítica filológica e histórica tres inscripciones epigráficas procedentes de Lara de los Infantes que abordan el discutido tema del origen de Castilla. La factura de la más antigua, encontrada en la ermita de San Julián (en el Museode Burgos desde principios del siglo XX) se debió de redactar a mediados del siglo XII, en sintonía con el monasterio burgalés de San Pedro de Arlanza, pues resalta la preeminencia de este centro en su vínculo con Fernán González.
