Type B Coxsackieviruses (CVBs) are a common cause of acute and chronic myocarditis, dilated cardiomyopathy and aseptic meningitis. However, no CVB-vaccines are available for human use. We have previously produced virus-like particles (VLPs) for CVB3 with a baculovirus-insect cell production system. Here we have explored the potential of a VLP-based vaccine targeting CVB1 and describe the production of CVB1-VLPs with a scalable VLP purification method. Type B Coxsackieviruses (CVBs) belong to the enterovirus genus, and they cause both acute and chronic diseases in humans. CVB infections usually lead to flu-like symptoms but can also result in more serious diseases such as myocarditis, aseptic meningitis and life-threatening multi-organ infections in young infants. Thus, CVBs have long been considered as important targets of future vaccines. El presente artículo se centra en el estudio de las imágenes literarias y pictóricas de una enigmática figura de la historia mexicana: la Malinche. Se intenta establecer una especie de diálogo entre las representaciones de estos dos registros, cuyas réplicas parecen completarse y, al mismo tiempo, dejar en evidencia la “no integridad” y a veces, incluso, la controversia del retrato de Malintzín. La figura de la joven india parece, más bien, un puzzle caleidoscópico de colores y palabras que se han pronunciado sobre ella. Por tanto, el objetivo de este artículo es configurar una conversación entre estas imágenes de la Malinche.

A novel myopathy characterized by hexagonally cross-linked tubular arrays has been reported in five patients. We studied the clinical and histopathological features of five additional unrelated patients with this myopathy. Patients experienced exercise intolerance with exercise-induced myalgia and weakness, without rhabdomyolysis. One patient additionally presented mild permanent pelvic girdle muscle weakness. Age at onset varied between 13 and 56 years. The inclusions were eosinophilic on H and E, bright red with modified Gomori’s trichrome stains, present in type 2 fibers, and revealed immunoreactivity selectively for a caveolin-3-antibody. Titanium was examined in different black tourmalines by spectrophotometric analyses in the region between 12500 and 27000 cm-1 (800-370 nm) using a microscope spectrophotometer MPV-5P, Leitz (Germany), and chemically analyzed on an electron microprobe Camebax Microbeam, Cameca (France) in WDS Mode. Fourteen tourmaline samples with their face oriented parallel to the principal axis, cut and polished down to thin sections, showed polarized spectra of two broad absorption bands at approximately 14000 cm-1 (715 nm) and 24000 cm-1 (417 nm). The ongoing internationalization of audiovisual media increases the need for new ways of overcoming linguistic barriers. In Germany, where the common technique has always been dubbing, subtitles are however becoming more and more popular. The present article will deal with the application possibilities of subtitles in audiovisual translation with reference to humoristic elements.
