L’analisi di due iscrizioni onorarie per comandanti dedicate dalla città di Ilio consente di acquisire utili informazioni sul rapporto della polis con Roma nel periodo compreso fra 80 a.C e la conclusione della spedizione di Pompeo in Oriente, confermando il quadro offerto dalle fonti letterarie di fedeltà all’imperium Romanum.
