Parlamentarismin kannattajasta vallankumouksen äänitorveksi : Suomen Sosialidemokraattisen Puolueen lehdistö 1917-1918

2018

The research topic of this dissertation is the press of the Social Democratic Party of Finland (SDP) from the March revolution of 1917 in Russia to the end of the Finnish Civil War in the spring of 1918. Under research are 16 party papers, which, however, were not owned by the party, and therefore neither under its guidance nor control. The papers' owners, local working class organizations, elected the editors-in-chief, who often held central posts in the party. In this way they could use their relatively independent positions to further their political views in their editorials. In the dissertation the press reports are bound with the ideology and policies of the SDP. The first theme is th…

Partnership formation and dissolution over the life course: applying sequence analysis and event history analysis in the study of recurrent events

2015

We present two types of approach to the analysis of recurrent events for discretely measured data, and show how these methods can complement each other when analysing co-residential partnership histories. Sequence analysis is a descriptive tool that gives an overall picture of the data and helps to find typical and atypical patterns in histories. Event history analysis is used to make conclusions about the effects of covariates on the timing and duration of the partnerships. As a substantive question, we studied how family background and childhood socio-emotional characteristics were related to later partnership formation and stability in a Finnish cohort born in 1959. We found that high se…

2020

The aim of this paper is to present the main sources of the interpretative dispute about the message contained in the Apostolic Exhortation of Pope Francis Amoris laetitia (2016), on love in the family. Referring to the position of the “Dubia Cardinals”, it concerns primarily four issues, which we can name as the “most-discussed”, i.e. (1) Holy Communion for the divorced and remarried people; (2) Creative conscience and absolute moral prohibitions; (3) The law of gradualness; (4) The concept of mercy.

LIMINARY IMAGES. THE RITES OF PASSAGE IN THE PHOTOGRAPHIC ALBUMS OF THE SICILIAN FAMILIES OF THE XX SEC.

2017

“Life is not what you have lived, but what you remember and how you remember it to tell“. Taking cue from the words of Gabriel Garcia Marquez, the essay analyzes a gallery of photographic images portraying «family photos», made in Sicily between the end of the 19th century and the first decades of the 20th century, which are placed in an intermediate space between oral and written traditions becoming «biographical object». The analysis of the photographic corpus searches for the connections between the different events that the image has gone through (production, transmission, fruition). It is in his «life story», in his passage from one generation to the other, from one type of representat…

Libertad religiosa y matrimonio

2019

Instytucja małżeństwa w pismach okresu poapostolskiego i apologetów II w

2017

The research aim of the article is to determine the legal rules related to marriage in the earliest writings of the primary Christianity, that is dated to the post-apostolic period and to the activities of the apologists of the IIth century. The research query indicated that the writers of the post-apostolic period put more emphasis on maintaining by the spouses harmonious relationships between each other, preserving evangelical recommendations and gaining moral virtues. In turn, the writings of later generations, especially apologists, contain observations of a legal nature and lay down rules that have the character of permanent tendencies, which became the basis for legal regulations at l…

Znaczenie przysięgi małżeńskiej w strukturze sakramentu

2017

Ninie…
