Framework and Research Agenda for Master Data Management in Distributed Environments
2011
Master data is the foundation for relating business transactions with business entities such as customers, products, locations etc. These entities are also referred to as domains in master data literature. The integrity, availability and timeliness of master data in single-, and growingly in multi-domain combinations is crucial in eBusiness transactions over the Internet, or in the cloud for multiple stakeholders. Distributed environments set additional challenges for the management of master data. In this idea paper, we first describe master data, management processes, responsibilities and other contemporary master data management practices aiming to ensure master data quality in different…
Age-related changes in conventional road versus off-road triathlon performance
2011
International audience; The aims of this study were: i) to analyze age-related declines in swimming, cycling, and running performances for road-based and off-road triathlons, and ii) to compare age-related changes in these three disciplines between road-based and off-road triathlons. Swimming, cycling, running and total time performances of the top 5 males between 20 and 70 years of age (in 5 year intervals) were analyzed for short distance road-based (1.5 km swim, 40 km cycle, and 10 km run) and off-road (1.5 km swim, 30 km mountain bike, and 11 km trail run) triathlons at the 2009 World Championships. Independently of age, there was a lesser age-related decline in cycling performance (P<0…
2014
The essay focuses on two yards of the interior of Sicily between the end of the fifteenth century and the first half of the sixteenth century: the mother church of Pietraperzia and that of Assoro. New documentary investigations allowed to set out the master builders involved in the construction process and to deduce some construction methods in use for churches basilica. These data, together with the direct observation of the buildings have allowed to hypothesize, in both cases, the original configuration of the churches. The hypotheses were supported by a comparison with contemporary building, similar to typological characteristics, and a re-reading of the archival documents referring to t…
Legal and forensic psychology in Spain: A study of official masters and degrees in Spanish universities
2018
I TRE GIOIELLI DELLA PEDAGOGIA BUDDHISTA. BUDDHA, DHARMA E SANGHA
2020
This paper presents Buddhism as a paideia where the personal education takes place through the so-called three jewels: the Buddha, the Dharma and the Sangha, or the Master, the Way of Truth and the Spiritual Community. These are three refuges where the disciple carries out an interior search that, contrary to belief, does not happen in solitude but with the careful guidance of a Master and with the spiritual companions of the community. Finally, it’s affermed the great relevance of a millenary religion that today offers practices of interiority education to cultivate spiritual qualities such as wisdom, generosity, patience, love and compassion to build a new humanity.
50.gadu dzimtes konstrukcija amerikāņu TV seriālā „Masters of Sex” (1.sezona)
2015
Pētījuma rezultātā konstatēts, ka amerikāņu televīzijas seriāla „Masters of Sex” 1.sezona balstās …
Nonresonant hole burning spectroscopy of the relaxor ferroelectric PLZT
2002
Abstract The polydispersive dielectric response of a lanthanum-modified lead zirconate titanate relaxor ferroelectric was studied using nonresonant hole burning (NHB) spectroscopy. The dynamic heterogeneity of this material was evidenced by the fact that it was possible to burn frequency-dependent spectral holes. The maximum position of the spectral holes depended on the square root of the pump frequency Ω . The refilling of the spectral holes was monitored subsequent to excitation using various pump frequencies. The refilling data could be collapsed onto a master curve by re-scaling them, again, using Ω −0.5 as scaling factor. The refilling time was found to be much longer than the time sc…
Processing – morphology – property relationships of polyamide 6/polyethylene blend–clay nanocomposites
2013
In this work, we studied the effect of the method of preparation and of reprocessing on the morphology and, con- sequently, on the physical properties of polyamide 6 (PA6)/ high density polyethylene (HDPE)-clay nanocomposite blends in the presence of different compatibilizers. In particular, the nanocomposites were obtained by melt mixing using a co- rotating twin screw extruder (E1). The blends thus obtained were re-extruded (E2) under the same operating conditions. Moreover, blends with the same final composition were produced using a masterbatch of the compatibilizer with the clay prepared in a separated stage in a batch mixer (MB). All the materials were characterized by scanning electr…
EXACT SOLUTIONS FOR A CLASS OF FRACTAL TIME RANDOM WALKS
1995
Fractal time random walks with generalized Mittag-Leffler functions as waiting time densities are studied. This class of fractal time processes is characterized by a dynamical critical exponent 0<ω≤1, and is equivalently described by a fractional master equation with time derivative of noninteger order ω. Exact Greens functions corresponding to fractional diffusion are obtained using Mellin transform techniques. The Greens functions are expressible in terms of general H-functions. For ω<1 they are singular at the origin and exhibit a stretched Gaussian form at infinity. Changing the order ω interpolates smoothly between ordinary diffusion ω=1 and completely localized behavior in the …
