Weak solution for Neumann (p,q)-Laplacian problem on Riemannian manifold

We prove the existence of a nontrivial solution for a nonlinear (p, q)-Laplacian problem with Neumann boundary condition, on a non compact Riemannian manifold. The idea is to reduce the problem in variational form, which means to consider the critical points of the corresponding Euler-Lagrange functional in an Orlicz-Sobolev space. (C) 2019 Elsevier Inc. On some dual frames multipliers with at most countable spectra

A dual frames multiplier is an operator consisting of analysis, multiplication and synthesis processes, where the analysis and the synthesis are made by two dual frames in a Hilbert space, respectively. In this paper we investigate the spectra of some dual frames multipliers giving, in particular, conditions to be at most countable. The contribution extends the results available in literature about the spectra of Bessel multipliers with symbol decaying to zero and of multipliers of dual Riesz bases.
Cyclic admissible contraction and applications to functional equations in dynamic programming

In this paper, we introduce the notion of T-cyclic $( \alpha ,\beta ) $ -contraction and give some common fixed point results for this type of contractions. The presented theorems extend, generalize, and improve many existing results in the literature. Several examples and applications to functional equations arising in dynamic programming are also given in order to illustrate the effectiveness of the obtained results.
Common fixed points for α-ψ-φ-contractions in generalized metric spaces

We establish some common fixed point theorems for mappings satisfying an α-ψ-ϕcontractive condition in generalized metric spaces. Presented theorems extend and generalize manyexisting results in the literature.

 In Example 1 of our paper [V. La Rosa, P. Vetro, Common fixed points for α-ψ-ϕcontractions in generalized metric spaces, Nonlinear Anal. Model. Control, 19(1):43–54, 2014] a generalized metric has been assumed. Nevertheless some mistakes have appeared in the statement. The aim of this note is to correct this situation.
Partial inner product spaces: Some categorical aspects

We make explicit in terms of categories a number of statements from the theory of partial inner product spaces (PIP spaces) and operators on them. In particular, we construct sheaves and cosheaves of operators on certain PIP spaces of practical interest.

For two complex Banach spaces X and Y, in this paper, we study the generalized spectrum M-b(X,Y) of all nonzero algebra homomorphisms from H-b(X), the algebra of all bounded type entire functions on X into H-b(Y). Common Fixed Points of a Pair of Hardy Rogers Type Mappings on a Closed Ball in Ordered Dislocated Metric Spaces

Common fixed point results for mappings satisfying locally contractive conditions on a closed ball in an ordered complete dislocated metric space have been established. The notion of dominated mappings is applied to approximate the unique solution of nonlinear functional equations. Our results improve several well-known conventional results.

AbstractIt is known that self-adjoint Hamiltonians with purely discrete eigenvalues can be written as (infinite) linear combination of mutually orthogonal projectors with eigenvalues as coefficients of the expansion. The projectors are defined by the eigenvectors of the Hamiltonians. In some recent papers, this expansion has been extended to the case in which these eigenvectors form a Riesz basis or, more recently, a ${\mathcal{D}}$ D -quasi basis (Bagarello and Bellomonte in J. Multidimensional dyadic Kurzweil–Henstock- and Perron-type integrals in the theory of Haar and Walsh series

Abstract The problem of recovering the coefficients of rectangular convergent multiple Haar and Walsh series from their sums, by generalized Fourier formulas, is reduced to the one of recovering a function (the primitive) from its derivative with respect to the appropriate derivation basis. Multidimensional dyadic Kurzweil–Henstock- and Perron-type integrals are compared and it is shown that a Perron-type integral, defined by major and minor functions having a special continuity property, solves the coefficients problem for series which are convergent everywhere outside some uniqueness sets.
Multiple Solutions with Sign Information for a Class of Coercive (p, 2)-Equations

We consider a nonlinear Dirichlet equation driven by the sum of a p-Laplacian and of a Laplacian (a (p, 2)-equation). The hypotheses on the reaction f(z, x) are minimal and make the energy (Euler) functional of the problem coercive. We prove two multiplicity theorems producing three and four nontrivial smooth solutions, respectively, all with sign information. We apply our multiplicity results to the particular case of a class of parametric (p, 2)-equations.
