Additive functionals and push forward measures under Veretennikov's flow

16 pages; In this work, we will be interested in the push forward measure $(\vf_t)_*\gamma$, where $\vf_t$ is defined by the stochastic differential equation \begin{equation*} d\vf_t(x)=dW_t + \ba(\vf_t(x))dt, \quad \vf_0(x)=x\in\mbR^m, \end{equation*} and $\gamma$ is the standard Gaussian measure. We will prove the existence of density under the hypothesis that the divergence $\div(\ba)$ is not a function, but a signed measure belonging to a Kato class; the density will be expressed with help of the additive functional associated to $\div(\ba)$.

Measurement of the Depth of Maximum of Extensive Air Showers above 10(18) eV

We describe the measurement of the depth of maximum, Xmax, of the longitudinal development of air showers induced by cosmic rays. Almost four thousand events above 10¹⁸ eV observed by the fluorescence detector of the Pierre Auger Observatory in coincidence with at least one surface detector station are selected for the analysis. The average shower maximum was found to evolve with energy at a rate of (106⁺³⁵₋₂₁) g/cm²/decade below 1018.24 ± 0.05 eV and (24 ± 3) g/cm²/decade above this energy. The measured shower-to-shower fluctuations decrease from about 55 to 26 g/cm². The interpretation of these results in terms of the cosmic ray mass composition is briefly discussed.

Real time measurement of long parabolic optical similaritons

International audience; Long optical similaritons using a Raman fibre amplifier are generated. These pulses, with a highly parabolic profile, are monitored in real time on a high speed oscilloscope. Tunability of both the temporal and spectral widths of the pulses is then investigated.

Alignement moléculaire par impulsions laser ultrabrèves : Mesures & Applications

The interaction of an intense ultrashort laser pulse with a molecular sample leads, after the end of the pulse, to molecular alignment at specific time under field-free conditions. This thesis is dedicated to the measurements and applications of this effect. The degree of alignment is determined through the variation of the refractive index induced by the rearrangement of the molecular dipoles. A two-dimensional technique allowing to measure molecular alignment on a single-shot basis is reported in this document. International audience; A summary of the main results obtained by the two groups in the field of H-2 vibrational spectral line signatures for various mixtures. in connection with CARS diagnostics of H-2-O-2 combustion systems, is presented. H-2-X Systems may have specific large inhomogeneous spectral features, due to the dependence of the line broadening and line shifting on the (H-2) radiator speed, particularly at high temperature. Morphological and chemical dynamics upon electrochemical cyclic sodiation of electrochromic tungsten oxide coatings extracted by in situ ellipsometry.

The sodiation–desodiation process of sputtered amorphous electrochromic tungsten oxide coatings in an aqueous-based medium was simultaneously monitored over 99 cycles by cyclic voltammetry and in situ spectroscopic ellipsometry. This allowed extracting the evolution of optical and geometrical parameters upon cycling. The resulting electrochemical coloring-bleaching process was dynamically fitted in the 1.8–2.8 eV optical range with a four-phase model including a constrained spline parametrization of the dielectric function. Irradiation temperature influence on the in-situ measured radiation induced attenuation of Ge-doped fibers

International audience; We report an experimental investigation on the radiation induced attenuation (RIA) in the ultraviolet-visible domain for Ge-doped optical fibers, during X-rays (10 keV) exposure at different temperatures. The objective is to characterize the impact of the irradiation temperature on the RIA levels and kinetics. Our data highlight that for dose exceeding 1 kGy(SiO2) the RIA spectrum changes with the irradiation temperature. In particular, for wavelengths below 470 nm the RIA depends both on the dose and on the irradiation temperature, whereas at higher wavelengths the RIA depends only on the dose. Effect of irradiation temperature on the radiation induced attenuation of Ge-doped fibers

International audience; The UV-visible radiation induced attenuation (RIA) was studied in Ge-doped optical fibers, during X-ray (10 keV) irradiations at different temperatures. By comparing the spectra recorded in dissimilarly irradiated samples we evidenced the impact of the irradiation temperature. In details, we highlighted that, from a certain dose, increasing the temperature the RIA decreases for wavelengths lower than 470 nm, whereas at higher wavelengths the RIA depends only on the dose. Such findings suggest that it is possible to distinguish the irradiation temperature by comparing the signal at two different wavelengths. The high resolution of Landsat Thematic Mapper (TM) thermal infrared data can be interesting in applications such as energy balance and crop water stress studies. However, surface temperature measurements are strongly affected by atmospheric effects, particularly by water vapour absorption, therefore a correction method is absolutely necessary. INTEGRAL serendipitous detection of the gamma-ray microquasar LS 5039

LS 5039 is the only X-ray binary persistently detected at TeV energies by the Cherenkov HESS telescope. It is moreover a gamma-ray emitter in the GeV and possibly MeV energy ranges. To understand important aspects of jet physics, like the magnetic field content or particle acceleration, and emission processes, such as synchrotron and inverse Compton (IC), a complete modeling of the multiwavelength data is necessary.
