These characteristics or `marks' permit to understand the galaxy catalogs that carry all this information as realizations of marked point processes. Many attempts have been presented to quantify the dependence of the clustering of galaxies on their inner properties. Flexural Behavior of Steel Fibrous Reinforced Concrete Deep Beams

Experimental research was carried out regarding the flexural behavior of deep beams cast with plain and fibrous concrete with hooked steel fibers, and subjected to monotonic vertical loads. Four deep fiber-reinforced concrete beams were cast. Two of them were made of plain concrete with main and web steel reinforcements (RC), and two were made of hooked steel fiber-reinforced concrete (SFRC) with main steel reinforcements. The experimental results show the brittle behavior of reinforced deep RC members characterized by crushing of concrete struts and fracture of web steel bars. Inferring directionality of coupled dynamical systems using Gaussian process priors: Application on neurovascular systems

Dynamical system theory has recently shown promise for uncovering causality and directionality in complex systems, particularly using the method of convergent cross mapping (CCM). In spite of its success in the literature, the presence of process noise raises concern about CCM's ability to uncover coupling direction. Furthermore, CCM's capacity to detect indirect causal links may be challenged in simulated unidrectionally coupled Rossler-Lorenz systems. Stability of stochastic nonlinear systems with state-dependent switching

In this paper, the problem of stability on stochastic systems with state-dependent switching is investigated. To analyze properties of the switched system by means of Itô’s formula and Dynkin’s formula, it is critical to show switching instants being stopping times. When the given active-region set can be replaced by its interior, the local solution of the switched system is constructed by defining a series of stopping times as switching instants, and the criteria on global existence and stability of solution are presented by Lyapunov approach. This development is driven both by economic and environmental pressures. Properties of new materials are compared with those of materials already well known, such as silica fume.
