The Use of Latent Semantic Analysis in the Positive Psychology: A Comparison with Twitter Posts

In the last decade, the positive psychology and specifically the 'Positive Youth Development' (PYD) give efforts to positive aspect and strength that performance as protective factors of adjustment problems and psycho-social well-being, such as courage. To better understand the definition of courage in Italian context, 1199 participants were involved in the present study and we asked them to answer to the following question "Courage is...". The participant's definitions of courage were analyzed with the Latent Semantic Analysis (LSA), in order to study the "fundamental concepts" arising from the population. An analogous comparison with Twitter posts has been also carried out.

Objetivo. Describir la mortalidad en México por defectos del tubo neural, durante el periodo 1980-1997. Material y métodos. Las tasas anuales de mortalidad estatales y nacionales, por defectos del tubo neural, se calcularon por 10 000 nacidos vivos. La tendencia temporal fue evaluada por el porcentaje de cambio anual obtenido mediante un modelo de regresión de Poisson. Se calculó la razón de mortalidad, tomando la media nacional como referencia. Monitoring heart rate derived indices and DC-potential of the brain over a 12-week endurance training period in recreational runners

Purpose: The present study examined the agreement between HR-derived indices obtained over different recording situations (morning upon waking, in the lab, and during nocturnal measurements). Changes in DC-potential were examined following a high-intensity training (HIT) week by comparing them to a control week. Moreover, the relationship between adaptation to endurance training and the changes of morning HR-derived indices were examined. Koncepcja, metody badań: Sięgając do definicji terminów związanych z pojęciem wiarygodność odniesiono je do serwisów internetowych. Na tej podstawie stworzono konceptualne ramy oceny wiarygodności dla takich serwisów. L'exposition à l'O3 est délicate à modéliser car ce polluant présente une forte variabilité spatiotemporelle. Le but des présents travaux est d'optimiser l'évaluation des concentrations journalières d'O3 modélisées à échelle kilométrique, à l'aide de modèles MARS et de données météorologiques. Possession time in football has been widely discussed in research but few studies have analyzed the importance of the field area in which possession occurs. The objective of this study was to identify the existence of significant differences in the field zone of ball possession between successful and unsuccessful teams and to acknowledge if the match status modulates the possession model.
