Optical and structural properties of Al 2 O 3 /ZnO nanolaminates deposited by ALD method
2014
International audience; We report on the investigation of optical and structural properties of Al2O3/ZnO nanolaminates. The nanolaminates were deposited on Si and glass substrates by Atomic layer deposition method. Structural properties of nanolaminates were studied by SEM, GIXRD, and AFM. Optical characterization was performed by transmittance and photoluminescence spectroscopy. Complex analysis of monolayer properties was done by ellipsometry. Optical constants for Al2O3 and ZnO monolayer were calculated.
Excel ja laskenta pilvipalveluissa
2013
Tutkielma esittelee ja vertailee taulukkolaskenta-ohjelmien ohjelmointimahdollisuuksia. Taulukkolaskentaohjelmia on mahdollisuus käyttää perinteisenä työpöytäsovelluksena, pilvipalveluna verkkoselaimella sekä etäpalvelimen asiakasohjelmalla. Lisää suoritustehoa on saatavilla rinnakkaislaskennalla ja pilvipalveluntarjoajilta. The thesis examines and compares spreadsheet programs and their programming options. Spreadsheet programs have the option to use as a traditional desktop application, a web browser, as well as run the application server with remote client. More processing power is available by using parallel computing and from cloud service providers.
Study of oral microbiota and diet as casual factors of Black Stains in the pediatric patient
2019
The aim of the following study is to identify and quantify microorganisms in the saliva of black stain patients using species-specific probes for Actinomyces israelii, Actinomyces naeslundii, Streptococcus mutans and Lactobacillus spp, as well as a universal probe for bacterial 16S rDNA, to obtain the figure of the total bacterial counts (for test and control group). This study represents a first phase of the research line on extrinsic tooth pigmentation on developmental age patients. Materials and methods. The selected sample is composed of 20 subjects aged between 2 and 15 years and in good general and oral health among the patients included in a dental examination trial at the Department…
ORAL MICROBIOTA: CHARACTERISTICS, RELATED PATHOLOGIES AND FUTURE PROSPECTS
2020
The oral microbiota is represented by the set of bacteria and microrganisms that reside in the oral cavity. It is formed from bird and stabilizes during the period of permanent dentition. The oral microbiota poresents from 500 to 700 bacterial species, belonging to six main phyla, Firmicutes, Bacteroidetes, Proteobacteria, Actinobacteria, Spirochaetes and Fusobacteria. These bacteria partecipate in the formation of dental plaque, a sort of biofilm that deposits on the rigid surfaces of the oral cavity, and contributes to the healthy maintenance of the oral cavity. An alteration of the oral microbiota contributes to the pathogenesis of periodontitis, caries, gingivitis and also of systemic d…
Study of the microcirculation of oral mucosa in healthy subjects
2003
The research has the following aims: 1: to verify the applicability of capillaroscopic investigation to oral mucosa; 2: to propose oral mucosa as an alternative to the fingernail fold for capillaroscopic investigation; 3: to describe the characteristics of the microcirculation of oral mucosa in healthy subjects. 100 healthy patients were examined. The characteristics of the micro-circulation in the areas of gum mucosa and the mucosa covering of the lower lip were examined using computerised videomicroscopic techniques. For each patient we evaluated the visibility, the course, the density, the tortuosity and any images characteristic of capillary loops, besides the possible presence of micro…
STUDY OF MICROCIRCULATION IN ORAL LICHEN PLANUS BY VIDEOCAPILLAROSCOPY
2007
Objective. The aim of this study was to evaluate “in vivo” the oral microcirculatory characteristics in patients with oral lichen planus (OLP) and to discover any differences in microcirculation in comparison with healthy patients. Study design. Twenty patients with established diagnosis of OLP and 20 healthy patients were examined in our laboratory by means of contact optical probe videocapillaroscopy. The examined areas for each patient were the right and the left buccal mucosae. Capillary density and total capillary diameter, as well as afferent and efferent loop diameter were studied; the discovery of characteristic (tortuous, branched) loops was also investigated. Results. The results …
Clinical characteristics of oral chronic graft-versus-host disease according to the 2014 National Institutes of Health (USA) consensus criteria.
2022
Chronic graft-versus-host disease (cGVHD) is a serious and common complication of allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplantation (alloHCT). The oral cavity is the second most common site affected by cGVHD. In 2014, the 2005 National Institutes of Health (NIH) consensus criteria were revised to address areas of controversy. The aim of this study was to evaluate the clinical characteristics of oral cGVHD using the 2014 NIH consensus criteria. The baseline data of oral manifestation of patients, who were diagnosed with oral cGVHD, in the first dental visit were analyzed (n=22). The oral mucosal disease was evaluated by NIH modified Oral Mucosa Rating Scale (OMRS) and Thongprasom sign score. The…
Liquid biopsy in the assessment of microRNAs in oral squamous cell carcinoma: a systematic review
2022
The identification of non-invasive biomarkers from biological fluids collected by liquid biopsy provides new horizons for individualized therapeutic strategies and improves clinical decision-making in OSCC patients. Circulating microRNAs have emerged as biomarkers that may reflect not only the existence of cancer, but also the dynamic, malignant potential, and drug resistance of tumors. The aim of the systematic review is to evaluate and summarize the results of the published studies regarding the use of microRNAs as biomarkers for OSCC.A literature search was conducted on PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, and Cochrane databases till November 2020. A total of 34 studies met the inclusion crit…
Covalent Protein Binding of Vinyl Chloride Metabolites During Co-Incubation of Freshly Isolated Hepatocytes and Hepatic Sinusoidal Cells of Rats
1983
Proteins of isolated rat hepatic sinusoidal cells incubated with 14C-vinyl chloride, rat liver microsomes and an NADPH-regenerating system were alkylated by vinyl chloride metabolites formed by microsomes. This suggests that reactive vinyl chloride metabolites can penetrate sinusoidal cells. Protein alkylation in isolated hepatic sinusoidal cells was higher when these were co-incubated with isolated hepatocytes, indicating that reactive vinyl chloride metabolites formed by hepatocytes are stable enough to diffuse out of hepatocytes into sinusoidal cells. Glutathione added to the incubation medium inhibited the covalent protein binding of vinyl chloride metabolites in sinusoidal cells as wel…
