We report the first direct determination of the ground-state to ground-state electron-capture $Q$-value for the $^{72}$As to $^{72}$Ge decay by measuring their atomic mass difference utilizing the double Penning trap mass spectrometer, JYFLTRAP. The $Q$-value was measured to be 4343.596(75)~keV, which is more than a 50-fold improvement in precision compared to the value in the most recent Atomic Mass Evaluation 2020. Furthermore, the new $Q$-value was found to be 12.4(40)~keV (3.1 $\sigma$) lower. The subject of the article, which makes reference to pugna spiritualis - the topos that was popular in the old literature and to speculum - the characteristic form of writing in the 16* century, is discussed on the basis of selected sermons by Fabian Birkowski (devoted to annual holidays) and his Latin orations about saints. W końcu 1965 r. z okazji zbliżającego się Milenium biskupi polscy wystosowali 56 listów do episkopatów różnych krajów z zaproszeniami na uroczyste obchody jubileuszu chrztu Polski. Jednym z nich było orędzie do biskupów niemieckich, datowane na 18 listopada 1965 r. W kraju list biskupów polskich wywołał gwałtowną kampanię propagandową władz PRL skierowaną przeciwko Kościołowi katolickiemu. Zdecydowanie odmienna była reakcja emigracji polskiej. Sprawa orędzia wywołała na wychodźstwie dyskusje w prasie czy na forum partyjnym. Refraktīvās operācijas ReLex SMILE inducētās sfēriskās aberācijas

Diplomdarbs ir uzrakstīts latviešu valodā uz 62 lapām, satur 40 attēlus, 3 tabulas, 3 pielikumus un 63 atsauces uz literatūras avotiem. Darba mērķis: Analizēt inducēto sfērisko aberāciju apjomu pēc SMILE operācijas un pamatojoties uz šiem datiem, definēt rekomedācijas HISMILE operācijai. Metode: Tika pētīti 31 pacients (61 acs), ar vidējo pirmsoperācijas SE - 4,5 D (no - 2,25 līdz -8,75 D). Pacientu vidējais vecums bija 27 gadi (no 21 - 37 g.). Rezultāti: Inducēto sfērisko aberāciju daudzums pēc SMILE operācijas pie 6 mm zīlītes ir vidēji 0,113 ± 0,09 μm, un pie 4,5 mm zīlītes ir 0,0336 ± 0,05 μm. One of the most significant influences upon the process of creation of male/female spirituality was exerted by role models characteristic for the culture of Counter-Reformation. Among these models, the ones that occupied the most influential position were Miles Christianus and Heroina Christiana shaped in response to domestic and foreign dangers to which the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth was exposed. Beta-decay studies for applied and basic nuclear physics

In this review we will present the results of recent beta-decay studies using the total absorption technique that cover topics of interest for applications, nuclear structure and astrophysics. The decays studied were selected primarily because they have a large impact on the prediction of a) the decay heat in reactors, important for the safety of present and future reactors and b) the reactor electron antineutrino spectrum, of interest for particle/nuclear physics and reactor monitoring. Cross section for bb¯ production via dielectrons in d + Au collisions at √sNN = 200 GeV

We report a measurement of e+e− pairs from semileptonic heavy-flavor decays in d + Au collisions at √sNN = 200 GeV. By exploring the mass and transverse-momentum dependence of the yield, the bottom decay contribution can be isolated from charm, and quantified by comparison to PYTHIA and MC@NLO simulations. The resulting bb¯-production cross section is σdAu bb¯ = 1.37 ± 0.28 (stat) ± 0.46 (syst) mb, which is equivalent to a nucleon-nucleon cross section of σ NN bb = 3.4 ± 0.8 (stat) ± 1.1 (syst) μb. peerReviewed
