The use of in-line quantitative analysis to follow polymer processing

In this work it is presented three applications of real time analysis during extrusion process using an optical device developed by our research group, which applies the concepts of light extinction. Monitoring of polymer blends morphology takes place to infer data concerned to dispersed phase size and concentration. The detector also enables information about melting temperature of polymer during extrusion and the level of viscous heating, and the exfoliation step during processing of a polymer-clay nanocomposite.

The New Energy and Industry Technology Development Organization (NEDO) road map (Japan, 2017) has proposed that a polymer electrolyte fuel cell (PEFC) system, which operates at a temperature of 90 °C and 100 °C, be applied for stationary and mobility usage, respectively. The kinetic studies are reviewed on low-pressure polymerization of ethylene over two types of organovanadium catalysts, viz., MgCl 2(THF) 2/VCl 4/Et 2AlCl and MgCl 2(THF) 2VOCl 3Et 2AlCl, each deposited on a magnesium carrier. The polymerization rate was found to be directly related to the catalyst and monomer concentrations (Figs. 2 and 3), unless when the access of the monomer to the reactive V-C bond is restricted by diffusion. THE INTERACTION OF TEMPORAL-ASPECTUAL FEATURES IN MODAL POLYSEMY: A CASE-STUDY FROM SICILIAN. We intend to analyse a number of Sicilian constructions involving the modal vuliri “want” and the modal periphrasis aviri a “have to+ infinitive”. They are used to express both modal values and futurity (Sicilian, but not Italian, lacks a synthetic future). Multi-modality of polysomnography signals’ fusion for automatic sleep scoring

Objective: The study aims to develop an automatic sleep scoring method by fusing different polysomnography (PSG) signals and further to investigate PSG signals’ contribution to the scoring result. Methods: Eight combinations of four modalities of PSG signals, namely electroencephalogram (EEG), electrooculogram (EOG), electromyogram (EMG), and electrocardiogram (ECG) were considered to find the optimal fusion of PSG signals.
