Suburbs suffer from isolation from densely populated urban centers due to the poor performance of traditional public transport services such as buses. This isolation worsens the quality of life of the residents of these areas, with related problems of social exclusion. Bodily expressions of dominance in children's reasoning : an analysis of multimodal and sociometric data

This case study explores how two Hungarian children argue for their choices in a decision- making task in which they were asked to pick objects useful on a deserted island. The study involves an analysis of the multimodal data of the video-recorded tasks, carried out as pair-work, and sociometric background data that were collected in order to build an initial understanding of the participants’ social relations. The aim of the study is to discover how dominance relations manifest in bodily acts during reasoning. Replacing short-haul flights with high-speed rail (HSR) has been widely discussed as one solution to mitigate the climate change impacts of aviation. However, although HSR can provide travel times similar to those provided by short-haul flights, and at lower emission levels, it also requires considerable investments in time and infrastructure to build. Instead, this study considers the feasibility of replacing short-haul flights with existing non-high-speed rail (NHSR). The effect of writing modality on recollection in children and adolescents

We set out to assess the extent to which writing modality affects recollection in children and adolescents. We examined 10- to 11-year-old children’s (N = 63) and 16-year-old adolescents’ (N = 43) handwriting, keyboarding with a laptop computer and keyboarding with a touchscreen tablet computer or mobile phone in a within-subjects experimental design. Participants were instructed to write down stories dictated to them in the three writing modalities. Recollection of the stories was assessed using free recall of details in the stories. Reklāma ir spēcīgs saziņas rīks, kas pārliecina patērētāju iegādāties produktu vai pakalpojumu, kā arī maina patērētāja viedokli par to. Viena no tām ir modālo darbības vārdu un vārdkopu lietošana tekstos, ar kuru palīdzību var tikt izteiktas emocijas un attieksme dažādās situācijās. Šo izpēti ietekmēja teorētiskais pamatojums, kā arī iepriekšējās izpētes. Darba izstrādē tika izmantota teorijas summatīvā analīze, kā arī diskursa analīze kā empīriskā metode.
