Benchmark study of undrained triaxial testing of Opalinus Clay shale: Results and implications for robust testing

Triaxial testing of argillaceous rocks and shales is significantly more challenging than conventional rock mechanical testing. The challenges are mainly related to the very low permeability of these geomaterials, and their sensitivity to exposure of atmosphere and brines, which induces variations of water content, suction and effective stress. There are currently no international standards to guide service laboratories for robust testing procedures for shales. A formula for the Euler characteristic of $\overline{{\cal M}}_{2,n}$

In this paper we compute the generating function for the Euler characteristic of the Deligne-Mumford compactification of the moduli space of smooth n-pointed genus 2 curves. The proof relies on quite elementary methods, such as the enumeration of the graphs involved in a suitable stratification of \(\overline{{\cal M}}_{2,n}\).

Let ${mathcal M}_g^n$ be the moduli space of n-pointed Riemann surfaces of genus g. Denote by ${\bar {\mathcal M}}_g^n$ the Deligne-Mumford compactification of ${mathcal M}_g^n$. In the present paper, we calculate the orbifold and the ordinary Euler characteristic of ${\bar {\mathcal M}}_g^n$ for any g and n such that n>2-2g.

Uzlabojumi sevī ietver gan kļūdu labojumus, gan jaunas funkcionalitātes ieviešanu, lai uzlabotu lietotāju pieredzi, lietojot sistēmu, un atvieglotu izstrādes procesu izstrādātājiem. Risinājuma izstrādē tika lietoti šādi rīki: JavaScript, TypeScrypt, HTML, CSS, Polymer Web Components, C#, KnockoutJS, “JetBrains Rider”, “MS Visual Studio Code”, GIT, TeamCity, Bitbucket.

Nanovadu mehānisko īpašību izpēte un to pielietojumi nanoelektromehāniskās sistēmās

Darbā noteikti monokristālisku Sb2S3, Ge un BeO nanovadu Junga moduļi. Nanovadu šķērsgriezuma laukums noteikts robežās no 7.1⋅102 nm2 līdz 7.8⋅104 nm2, garums no 3,1 µm līdz 136 µm. Mērījumi veikti skenējošā elektronu mikroskopā. Izmantotas atšķirīgas mehānisko īpašību noteikšanas metodes – elektriskā lauka ierosināta mehāniskā rezonanse, nanovadu lieces un spiedes deformācijas – un secināts, ka iegūtie rezultāti kļūdu robežās sakrīt. Eksperimentāli noteiktās Junga moduļa vērtības – 36 ± 9 GPa, 135 ± 40 GPa un 97 ± 24 GPa attiecīgi Sb2S3, Ge un BeO nanovadiem. Analysis of Rabbit Vascular Responses to DBI, an Ingol Derivative Isolated from Euphorbia canariensis

Abstract We have analysed the effects of 7,12-O-diacetyl-8-O-benzoil-2,3-diepiingol (DBI), an ingol derivative isolated from E. canariensis, on isometric tension developed by isolated rabbit basilar and carotid arteries. Concentration-response curves to DBI (10−8 - 3 × 10−5 m) were obtained cumulatively in both arteries at resting tension and active tone (KC1, 50 mm). At resting tension, DBI induced a concentration-dependent contraction, which was not inhibited in Ca2+-free medium. H7 (1-(5-isoquinoline sulphonyl)-2-methylpiperazine dichloride) (10−4 m) inhibited the DBI-induced contraction both in basilar and in carotid arteries.
