Proteīnu analizēšanas iespējas izmantojot pašgatavotas nanokolonnas

Literatūras apskatā ir aprakstīta monolītu kolonnu veidošana, vēsture un tipi, kā arī tehnikas ar daļiņām pakoto kolonnu izveidē. Tāpat apskatīta ir abu kolonnu izmantošana proteīnu analīzē. Darba praktiskajā daļā ir veikta vairāku monolītu kolonnu sintēze, kā arī veikta daļiņu kolonnu pakošana. Abas kolonnas ir testētas kā potenciālas analītiskās kolonnas izmantošanai proteīnu analīzē, savukārt monolītu kolonnas ir testētas arī kā priekškolonnas.

Pētījuma galvenais mērķis ir atklāt, kā stāstījumu tehnikas pielietotas video spēļu franšīzē Half-Life. Pētījumam izvēlētas četras franšīzes Half-Life un Half-Life 2 spēles. Teorētiskajā daļā tika apskatīts, kā stāstījumu jēdzieni ir pielāgojami video spēļu pētījumam. Izvēlēto video spēļu analīze parādīja, ka stāstījumu izteiksmes līdzekļi un struktūras var tikt pielietotas arī izvēlētajām video spēlēm, dažām no tām stingri neievērojot avotu teorētiskos ierobežojumus. Pētījuma rezultāti nodrošina plašāku video spēļu stāstījumu izpētes iespējas.

Excavations in 1989-1990 for the construction of a boat lift near the villages of Strépy and Thieu, east of Mons (province of Hainaut, southern Belgium), exposed a 40-metre section of the Bracquegnies Formation (Haine Green Sandstone Group; the ‘Meule de Bracquegnies’ of previous authors). Several hundred well-preserved, silicified cephalopods were collected from between 15 and 35 metres above the base of the sequence temporarily exposed there. Penicillium lanoso-viride AMP dezamināzes imunomodulatoro mehānismu izpēte dažādās imūno šūnu subpopulacijās

Maģistra darbā tika pētīti P.lanoso-viride AMPD imunomodulatorie mehānismi. Lai identificētu imūnās sistēmas šūnu populācijas un PRR klāstu, kas atbildīgi par AMPD atpazīšanu, ex vivo tika stimulēti perifēro asiņu paraugi ar AMPD (10 μg/ml), LPS (1 μg/ml) un Lentinānu (10 μg/ml) 4h vai 24 h. Tika veikta monocītu subopoulāciju fenotipēšana un aktivācijas marķieru (CD16, HLA-DR) virsmas un gēnu ekspresijas analīze, iekaisuma citokīnu (TNFα, IL-8, IL-6, IL-1b, MIP-1a, MIP-1b) sekrēcijas analīze. Tika veikta MR, TLR2, TLR4 un Dectin1 receptoru bloķēšana perifēro asiņu mononukleārajās šūnās. Darbā ir aplūkoti pamatprincipi monotonas nestriktās secinājumu sistēmas izveidošanai viena un divu ieejas mainīgo gadījumā, izmantojot reizinājuma t-normu un smaguma centra defazifikatoru. Tiek definēta nestriktā sistēma ar lingvistiskajiem mainīgajiem, un tiek aprakstīta ieejas-izejas mainīgo un kārtulu bāzes monotonitāte, uzsvērot tās nozīmīgumu, modelējot nestriktās secinājumu sistēmas. Darba mērķis ir izveidot pārskatāmu nosacījumu kopumu, kas jāievēro, lai tiktu garantēta monotonitāte nestriktiem secinājumu sistēmu modeļiem. Darbs satur ilustratīvu monotonas sistēmas piemēru divu ieejas mainīgo gadījumā, kas izveidots datorprogrammā Matlab.
Validation of a Psychosocial Chronic Stress Model in the Pig Using a Multidisciplinary Approach at the Gut-Brain and Behavior Levels

Psychological chronic stress is an important risk factor for major depressive disorder, of which consequences have been widely studied in rodent models. This work aimed at describing a pig model of chronic stress based on social isolation, environmental impoverishment and unpredictability. Three groups of animals of both sexes were constituted. Two were exposed to the psychosocial stressors while receiving (SF, n = 12) or not (SC, n = 22) the antidepressant fluoxetine, and a third group (NSC, n = 22) remained unstressed. Latest Developments and Results of Radiation Tolerance CMOS Sensors with Small Collection Electrodes

The development of radiation hard Depleted Monolithic Active Pixel Sensors (DMAPS) targets the replacement of hybrid pixel detectors to meet radiation hardness requirements of at least 1.5e16 1 MeV neq/cm2 for the HL-LHC and beyond. DMAPS were designed and tested in the TJ180 nm TowerJazz CMOS imaging technology with small electrodes pixel designs. This technology reduces costs and provides granularity of 36.4x36.4 um2 with low power operation (1 uW/pixel), low noise of ENC < 20 e-, a small collection electrode (3 um) and fast signal response within 25 ns bunch crossing.
