Mo-Based Oxidizers as Powerful Tools for the Synthesis of Thia- and Selenaheterocycles.

A highly efficient synthetic protocol for the synthesis of thia- and selenaheterocycles has been developed. By employing a MoCl5 -mediated intramolecular dehydrogenative coupling reaction, a broad variety of structural motifs was isolated in yields up to 94 %. The electrophilic key transformation is tolerated by several labile moieties like halides and tertiary alkyl groups. Due to the use of disulfide or diselenide precursors, a high atom efficiency was achieved.

A virus needs the host cell in order to replicate and produce new progeny viruses. For this, the virus takes over the host cell and modifies it to become a factory for viral proteins. Irrespective of the specific virus family, these proteins can be divided into structural and nonstructural proteins. Structural proteins are the building blocks for the new progeny virions, whereas the nonstructural proteins orchestrate the takeover of the host cell and its functions. Mesenchymal stromal cells (hMSCs) display a pleiotropic function in bone regeneration. The signaling involved in osteoblast commitment is still not completely understood, and that determines the failure of current therapies being used. Consistency tendency and the theory of planned behavior : a randomized controlled crossover trial in a physical activity context

Objective: This study examined the effects of consistency tendency on the predictive power of the theory of planned behavior (TPB) in relation to physical activity behavior. Methods: In this randomized controlled cross-over trial, we recruited 770 undergraduate students from Indonesia who were randomly assigned into two groups.
