Looking back on 20 years of European media policy, which reflects issues of ethnic minorities and immigrants there are significant developments in both policy and implementation. The recent European initiatives to increase cultural diversity in the media at a high institutional level stress that ethnic minorities and new immigrants should get access to both the screen and the newsroom. A sociotechnical system is a complex inter-relationship of people and technology, including hardware, software, data, physical and virtual surroundings, people, procedures, laws and regulations. An e-Education environment is a particularly complex example of a sociotechnical system that requires equal support for user needs and technological innovations. The challenge for eEducation environment development is that in addition to the producers, users, domain experts and software developers, pedagogical experts are also key stakeholders. Il processo di integrazione europea e la Cedu hanno esercitato ed esercitano un'influenza molto rilevante sulla configurazione dei diritti fondamentali relativi alle relazioni familiari, così come declinate nei diversi ordinamenti nazionali. Ciò appare visibile nella giurisprudensa della Corte Edu e della Corte di Giustizia Ue relativa alle unioni omosessuali. In particolare emerge come la normativa sovranazionale debba agire da fattore per un movimento di integrazione indiretta, che detti solo elementi essenziali, senza imporre agli stati e alle loro identità costituzionali effetti di omogeinizzazione delle diversità.

The variety of national family laws constitutes a serious obstacle to the free movement of persons within the European Union. From this point of view, the establishment of minimum standards together with the creation of a ‘common core’ of family law rules become one of the main goals of the EU institutions in order to make the principle of Community freedom effective.
