The facade of the church of the Pious Schools of Gandia has not attracted the attention of researchers. However, its conception has a great architectural culture and constitutes an essential work to understand its context, fundamentally, that of the theoretical treatises of the Renaissance. La composizione "Jeux" di Debussy, trascurata nella prima metà del Novecento, diventa nel corso degli anni Cinquanta un banco di prova delle teorie compositive dei protagonisti delle avanguardie musicali del dopoguerra, ognuno dei quali, proprio in base alle personali concezioni estetiche, dà una dell'opera del compositore francese una lettura fortemente divergente dalle altre.

The article focuses on Toscanini’s authoritative skill at the light of conducting emergence during the second half of the 19th century. It examines in particular the role played by repertoire and the related problems of interpretation, developed in Europe at the time of maestro’s early youth. From this point of view some details of his biography are regarded in relationship to previous experiences, namely those of A. Mariani and the unknown French musician M. K. The finding of a rich series of documents in the Archivio Storico of the Istituto Banco di Napoli – Fondazione (Naples) allows to offer a detailed reconstruction of the 1781-1782 season at the Neapolitan Teatro dei Fiorentini, devoted to "commedia per musica". The payments, transcribed in the appendix, show the specific financial structure of the theatre, as well as the distribution of roles and responsibilities among the different figures involved in the operatic business. Exploring relationships between effort, motion, and sound in new musical instruments

We investigated how the action–sound relationships found in electric guitar performance can be used in the design of new instruments. Thirty-one trained guitarists performed a set of basic sound-producing actions (impulsive, sustained, and iterative) and free improvisations on an electric guitar. We performed a statistical analysis of the muscle activation data (EMG) and audio recordings from the experiment. Then we trained a long short-term memory network with nine different configurations to map EMG signal to sound.
