Tutkimuksen tarkoituksena oli kuvata ja analysoida tutkittavan terapeuttista muutosprosessia. Tavoitteena oli tutkia asiakkaan ongelmallisen kokemuksen käsittelyä William Stilesin kehittämän assimilaatioanalyysin avulla sekä pohtia, mitkä tekijät mahdollisesti edesauttoivat tai estivät terapeuttista muutosta. Tutkimus toteutettiin laadullisena tapaustutkimuksena ja sen aineistona toimi Jyväskylän yliopiston tutkimus- ja opetusklinikalla videotaltioitu yhden terapia-asiakkaan noin vuoden kestänyt terapiaprosessi. In the independent component model, the multivariate data are assumed to be a mixture of mutually independent latent components. The independent component analysis (ICA) then aims at estimating these latent components. In this article, we study an ICA method which combines the use of linear and quadratic autocorrelations to enable efficient estimation of various kinds of stationary time series. There is a growing number of various ethnic groups in Finland. The attitudes and categorizations that host country nationals have and make regarding migrants is frequently researched. The attitudes that migrants have towards other migrants has, however, been much less researched. This paper provides an in-depth analysis that considers what factors are behind the attitudes that migrants form of other migrants and how these impact categorizations and hierarchies. A globally relevant stock of soil nitrogen in the Yedoma permafrost domain

AbstractNitrogen regulates multiple aspects of the permafrost climate feedback, including plant growth, organic matter decomposition, and the production of the potent greenhouse gas nitrous oxide. Despite its importance, current estimates of permafrost nitrogen are highly uncertain. Here, we compiled a dataset of >2000 samples to quantify nitrogen stocks in the Yedoma domain, a region with organic-rich permafrost that contains ~25% of all permafrost carbon. We estimate that the Yedoma domain contains 41.2 gigatons of nitrogen down to ~20 metre for the deepest unit, which increases the previous estimate for the entire permafrost zone by ~46%.
