2015
The ghosts of Greek myths are omnipresent in the film works of Pier Paolo Pasolini. Moreover, as will be depicted later on, his first readings of Greek texts were a crucial moment for his creative path towards becoming a film director. As a starting point, the personal circumstances of Pasolini will be examined. The general problems of his contemporary society as well as those more particular to his native country, Italy, and to his own personal life all make their way into his work, transposed via myths, which are given a new meaning

2019
We make a reading of the painting Bacchus or St John the Baptist, based on a method that applies to it the classic myth of Dionysus-Bacchus. We divide its content into three parts: 1. Introduction (objective and method; the double name, Dionysus-Bacchus; narration of the myth in ΝόννοςΠανοπολίτης) 2. Reading of the painting(hipothesis of the representation as St John the Baptist: some opinions; hipothesis of the representation as Bacchus: our opinion) 3. Conclusion (Leonard's Bacchus: an interpretation of Dionysus-Bacchus as neutralizer-God of the opposites. We make punctual comparisons with Jheronimus Bosch.
Paradigma de la Continuidad Paleomítica
2020
The increasing evidence of myths with a Paleolithic origin represents an indirect support for the main claims of the so–called Paleolithic Continuity Paradigm, since it assumes a Paleolithic origin for the whole Indo–European linguistic group and, furthermore, for all or most of the other major linguistic groups of the world. How can Parmenides’ τὸ ἐόν be unending but non-endless?
2023
In this paper we shall walk a well-trodden but still only partially explored path, along which we shall attempt to establish a basis for the study of the Parmenides poem’s unity by way of a comparison with 20th-century physics. In particular, we shall investigate the hypothesis that Parmenides’ sphere-shaped τὸ ἐόν, as described in B8.42-49, could be understood as a hyperspherical unlimited whole cosmologically bounded by the διάκοσμος described by the complex sphere system in fragment B12.
2019
Athenian citizens deliberate in the assembly, but the theatre also becomes a place for public debate. In addition to being a consequence of economic or cultural aspects, democracy is a consequence of the development of a democratic imaginary. Located in that imaginary, Greek tragedies, regarded as «democratic myths», work to reaffirm Athenian democracy. Far from being dogmatic, the tragic myth explores the contradictions of social and personal life and implicitly or explicitly seeks their correction. This dramatic genre encourages participation from the spectator (citizen) that greatly exceeds the schematic reduction in Aristotelian theory of catharsis. Greek tragedy proposes the existence …
