Pbca-Type In2O3: The High-Pressure Post-Corundum phase at Room Temperature.

2014

High-pressure powder X-ray diffraction and Raman scattering measurements in cubic bixbyite-type indium oxide (c-In2O3) have been performed at room temperature. On increasing pressure c-In2O3 undergoes a transition to the Rh2O3-II structure but on decreasing pressure Rh2O3-II-type In2O3 undergoes a transition to a previously unknown phase with Pbca space group which is isostructural to Rh2O3-III. On further decrease of pressure, we observed a phase transition to the metastable corundum-type In2O3 near room conditions. Recompression of the metastable corundum-type In2O3 at room temperature leads to a transition to the Rh2O3-III phase, thus showing that the Rh2O3-III phase is the post-corundum…

Prevention by Dietary Polyphenols (Resveratrol, Quercetin, Apigenin) Against 7-Ketocholesterol-Induced Oxiapoptophagy in Neuronal N2a Cells: Potentia…

2020

The Mediterranean diet is associated with health benefits due to bioactive compounds such as polyphenols. The biological activities of three polyphenols (quercetin (QCT), resveratrol (RSV), apigenin (API)) were evaluated in mouse neuronal N2a cells in the presence of 7-ketocholesterol (7KC), a major cholesterol oxidation product increased in patients with age-related diseases, including neurodegenerative disorders. In N2a cells, 7KC (50 &micro

Indirect assessment of an interpretation bias in humans: Neurophysiological and behavioral correlates

2013

Affective state can influence cognition leading to biased information processing, interpretation, attention, and memory. Such bias has been reported to be essential for the onset and maintenance of different psychopathologies, particularly affective disorders. However, empirical evidence has been very heterogeneous and little is known about the neurophysiological mechanisms underlying cognitive bias and its time-course. We therefore investigated the interpretation of ambiguous stimuli as indicators of biased information processing with an ambiguous cue-conditioning paradigm. In an acquisition phase, participants learned to discriminate two tones of different frequency, which acquired emotio…

Some overdetermined problems related to the anisotropic capacity

2018

Abstract We characterize the Wulff shape of an anisotropic norm in terms of solutions to overdetermined problems for the Finsler p-capacity of a convex set Ω ⊂ R N , with 1 p N . In particular we show that if the Finsler p-capacitary potential u associated to Ω has two homothetic level sets then Ω is Wulff shape. Moreover, we show that the concavity exponent of u is q = − ( p − 1 ) / ( N − p ) if and only if Ω is Wulff shape.

Cox ring of the generic fiber

2017

Abstract Given a surjective morphism π : X → Y of normal varieties satisfying some regularity hypotheses we prove how to recover a Cox ring of the generic fiber of π from the Cox ring of X. As a corollary we show that in some cases it is also possible to recover the Cox ring of a very general fiber, and finally we give an application in the case of the blowing-up of a toric fiber space.

Stoichiometric and kinetic study of the 99Tc-DMSA complex obtained with stannous excess: A possible model for the physico-chemical behaviour of the r…

1982

A stoichiometric and kinetic study was made of the 99mTc-DMSA complex obtained in the presence of large amounts of Sn2+. It is demonstrated that the Tc oxidation state is 3+. It is established that the complex degrades to another one if there is an Sn2+ deficiency. These results were confirmed by spectroscopic and spectrophotometric methods.

Catalytic Reaction Mechanism in Native and Mutant Catechol- O-methyltransferase from the Adaptive String Method and Mean Reaction Force Analysis.

2018

Catechol- O-methyltransferase is an enzyme that catalyzes the methylation reaction of dopamine by S-adenosylmethionine, increasing the reaction rate by almost 16 orders of magnitude compared to the reaction in aqueous solution. Here, we combine the recently introduced adaptive string method and the mean reaction force method, in combination with the structural and electronic descriptors to characterize the reaction mechanism. The catalytic effect of the enzyme is addressed by the comparison of the reaction in the human wild-type enzyme, in the less effective Y68A mutant, and in aqueous solution. The influence of these different environments at different stages of the chemical process and th…
