Tutkielman kirjallisessa osassa perehdytään bisfosfonaatteihin, niiden ominaisuuksiin ja valmistukseen sekä käyttöön lääketieteessä. Bisfosfonaattien valmistuksessa perehdytään sekä itse bisfosfonaattien että niiden johdannaisten valmistukseen. Bisfosfonaattien ominaisuuksia käydään läpi esittämällä niiden kemiallisia, biokemiallisia sekä farmakologisia ominaisuuksia ja vaikutustapoja. Eri bisfosfonaattien ominaisuuksia käsittelevät kappaleet on jaoteltu niistä käytettävän sukupolvijaottelun mukaisesti. Bisfosfonaattien käytössä pääosassa ovat niiden lääketieteelliset sovellukset. A synthetic protocol for the tert-butyl-substituted dichalcogenoimidodiphosphinates [Na(tmeda){(EPtBu2)2N}] (3 a, E=S; 3 b, E=Se; 3 c, E=Te) has been developed. The one-electron oxidation of the sodium complexes [Na(tmeda){(EPR2)2N}] with iodine produces a series of neutral dimers (EPR2NPR2E[BOND])2 (4 b, E=Se, R=iPr; 4 c, E=Te, R=iPr; 5 a, E=S, R=tBu; 5 b, E=Se, R=tBu; 5 c, E=Te, R=tBu). Attempts to prepare 4 a (E=S, R=iPr) in a similar manner produced a mixture including HN(SPiPr2). Finskspråkiga talares intonation av finlandssvenska i påståendeyttranden i fritt tal

In this study, I examine Finnish-speakers’ (n=8) intonation in declarative utterances in Finland-Swedish free speech on CEFR levels B1–B2. Data come from the National Certificates of Language Proficiency intermediate level tests (www.jyu.fi/yki). I measure f0 acoustically (mean, SD, range, mean absolute slope, f0 peaks) and examine the pitch contours. L2 speakers’ intonation is also contrasted with native Finland-Swedish speakers’ (n=5) intonation. The results show that L2 speakers have a significantly wider f0 range, greater standard deviation and steeper absolute slope than L1 speakers. Second Language Prosody and its Development : Connection between Different Aspects

This study focuses on the development of L2 prosody and, in particular, whether different aspects can affect each other. Finnish-speaking learners of Swedish took part in a pronunciation and oral skills course and were recorded for various speaking tasks before and after the experimental intervention. Read-aloud declarative sentences (statements) from nine learners were acoustically analysed for several tonal and temporal aspects, focusing on the marking of primary stress. The results reveal that the learning of Swedish tonal word accent 2 (H*LH) facilitates other tonal developments towards native-like utterance intonation.
