Tämä työ käsittelee deliberatiivisen demokratian teorioita erityisesti institutionalisoitujen kansalaiskokousten (citizens' assemblies) viitekehyksessä. Työssä tarkastellaan deliberatiivisen demokratian teorioita sen kahden pääsuuntauksen, John Rawlsin liberaalin konstitutionalismin ja Jürgen Habermasin kriittisen teorian kautta. Erityistä painoarvoa annetaan myös deliberatiivisen demokratian feministiselle kritiikille. Tutkielmassa tarkastellaan ulkomailla asuvien perheiden kielellisiä valintoja, käytänteitä sekä niiden taustalla vaikuttavia kieli-ideologioita. Siinä keskitytään Kanadassa asuviin ensimmäisen polven ulkosuomalaisiin ja heidän lapsiinsa. Ulkomaille muutettaessa eteen tulee tilanne, jossa oma äidinkieli kuuluu vähemmistöön. Tällöin joudutaan tekemään monia käytännön ja periaatteellisen tason valintoja sen suhteen, mitä kieltä käytetään ja missä tilanteissa. AbstractPerturbation of the aerobic steady-state in a chemostat culture of the ethanol-producing bacterium Zymomonas mobilis with a small pulse of ethanol causes a burst of ethanol oxidation, although the reactant ratio of the alcohol dehydrogenase (ADH) reaction ([NADH][acetaldehyde][H+])/([ethanol][NAD+]) remains above the Keq value. Simultaneous catalysis of ethanol synthesis and oxidation by the two ADH isoenzymes, residing in different redox microenvironments, has been proposed previously. Muchas son las propuestas para llevar la lectura de un poema a un aula, aunque los resultados, a pesar de las buenas voluntades, no siempre son muy satisfactorios, quizá porque sea parte de una idea algo equivocada de lo que es un texto poético y de lo que este requiere. En este trabajo se pretende revisar todo ello, valorando, además, la idoneidad de un poema del poeta Leopoldo de Luis, sobre un partido de fútbol. Frente a esta propuesta se ha llevado a cabo toda una revisión seria de los resultados obtenidos en su aplicación, tanto en un aula de Primaria como en unos grupos de estudiantes universitarios.
