Repeatability and reliability of the diabetic foot self-care questionnaire in Arabic patients: A transcultural adaptation.

Abstract Purpose The diabetic foot self-care questionnaire is considered a self-care evaluation tool with 16 questions for assessing diabetic foot health disorders. To date, the DFSQ has been validated in different languages, but an Arabic version was lacking. Consequently, the purpose of this study was to translate and validate the Arabic version of the DFSQ (DFSQ-AR). Method A suitable method was developed for the translation protocol and cross-cultural validation from Spanish to Arabic. gcType : a high-quality type strain genome database for microbial phylogenetic and functional research

Abstract Taxonomic and functional research of microorganisms has increasingly relied upon genome-based data and methods. As the depository of the Global Catalogue of Microorganisms (GCM) 10K prokaryotic type strain sequencing project, Global Catalogue of Type Strain (gcType) has published 1049 type strain genomes sequenced by the GCM 10K project which are preserved in global culture collections with a valid published status. Not just BLAST nt: WGS database joins the party

AbstractSince its introduction in 1990 and with over 50k citations, the NCBI BLAST family has been an essential tool of in silico molecular biology. The BLAST nt database, based on the traditional divisions of GenBank, has been the default and most comprehensive database for nucleotide BLAST searches and for taxonomic classification software in metagenomics. Here we argue that this is no longer the case. Currently, the NCBI WGS database contains one billion reads (almost five times more than GenBank), and with 4.4 trillion nucleotides, WGS has about 14 times more nucleotides than GenBank. The Attention-Related Driving Errors Scale (ARDES) is a self-reported questionnaire to assess individual differences in the proneness to make attentional errors while driving. The aims of the current work are to adapt the original Argentinean version of the ARDES to the culture, language, traffic regulations and driving habits of Spain and provide new validity evidence of the cross-cultural equivalence of the scale. Multiple solutions for parametric double phase Dirichlet problems

We consider a parametric double phase Dirichlet problem. Using variational tools together with suitable truncation and comparison techniques, we show that for all parametric values [Formula: see text] the problem has at least three nontrivial solutions, two of which have constant sign. Also, we identify the critical parameter [Formula: see text] precisely in terms of the spectrum of the [Formula: see text]-Laplacian.
