El conocimiento del infinito matemático es imprescindible para el aprendizaje significativo de multitud de conceptos que se encuentran dentro del cálculo matemático, como son los límites o las derivadas, presentes en el currículum de bachiller. Sense of coherence and health among home-dwelling older people.

Sense of coherence (SOC) is important for maintaining health. The aim of this study was to investigate if the SOC experience among home-dwelling physically active older people differs from that of hospital patients with the same age and sex. Data were collected with questionnaires and structured interviews containing Antonovsky’s SOC scale in an age- and sex-matched study group (n=160). Non-parametric statistical analyses were performed. No differences were found in SOC between home-dwelling individuals and patients. “Release and catch” catalytic systems

In this perspective article the “release and catch” catalytic system concept is discussed. A “release and catch” catalytic system is prepared by non-covalent immobilization of the catalytic moiety on a suitable support, but differently from the usual non-covalently supported catalyst, the catalytic moiety is released in solution over the course of the reaction and it is recaptured at the end of the reaction. Such a “catalyst- sponge like” or “boomerang” system allows one to combine the benefits of homogeneous and heterogeneous catalysis and can be applied to organometallic-based catalysts, organocatalysts and metal-based catalysts.

Distribution of calcitonin gene-related peptide-like immunoreactivity in the brain of the lizardPodarcis hispanica

The present work studies the distribution of calcitonin gene-related peptide-immunoreactive (CGRP-li) neurons and fibers in the brain of a reptile, the lizard Podarcis hispanica. CGRP-li perikarya were not present in the telencephalon. In the thalamus, CGRP-li perikarya were restricted to the posteromedial and posterolateral nuclei. In the hypothalamus, CGRP-li cells were found mainly in the supramammillary and mammillary nuclei. In the midbrain and brainstem, CGRP-li cells appeared in the ventral tegmental area, the parabrachial nucleus, and the motor nuclei of the III-VII, IX, X, and XII cranial nerves. Here, we investigated the mechanisms underlying the beneficial effects of immune regulatory processes induced in the skin by moderate ultraviolet B (UVB) radiation on central nervous system (CNS) autoimmunity.
