Eifēmismi ir izteikumi, kurus izmanto netīkamu, nepiedienīgu vārdu aizvietošanai. Viens no semantiskajiem laukiem, kas tiek īpaši pakļauts eifēmizācijai, ir nāve un mirstība, kas izraisa bailes un nepatiku cilvēkos no visdažādākajām vidēm. Bieži cilvēku lietotie eifēmismi ir skaidrojami ar konceptuālo metaforu - garīgo tēlu, kas ietekmē mūsu izzināšanas spējas. This paper explores the awareness and knowledge of cyberethics held by pre-service teachers across three European countries. The study was conducted via an online survey and yielded 1,131 responses from pre-service teachers in Malta, Norway, and Spain. The facets of cyberethics included in this study focused on behaving responsibly online, safeguarding privacy, respecting copyright, seeking consent of friends before posting images or videos on social media platforms, and considering their professional identity as future teachers when posting online. This empirical study is part of research into teachers’ conceptions of teaching but in a new context and with a new audience. It is based on a qualitative survey conducted by semi-directive interviews with 17 lecturers (in the job for three years at most and across a range of subject areas) about the notions of ‘good’ and ‘poor’ lessons. Professional identity in relation to vocational teachers’ work : an identity-centred approach to professional development

This paper reports a study on teachers’ professional identity and work in vocational education. The findings showed that vocational teachers’ work included vocational teaching within the school, developmental work, technology-enhanced work, professional duties outside the school, and educational duties within the school. Furthermore, the study revealed the harmonious and tensioned relationships between these elements of the work and teachers’ identities.
