Pohjoismaat ovat perinteisesti erottuneet työelämän laatuvertailuissa Euroopan ykkösinä. Taustalla vaikuttavat työmarkkinoiden palveluvaltaisuus ja korkea työvoiman osaamistaso, mutta myös erilaiset institutionaaliset tekijät, kuten työmarkkinoiden sääntely, ammattiyhdistysliikkeen asema ja sosiaalipoliittiset ratkaisut. Työelämän laatu voi kuitenkin heikentyä, kun näitä ankkureita kierretään tai kun ne eivät tavoita kaikkien alojen työntekijöitä. The enantioselective vinylogous Henry reaction of 3,5-dimethyl-4-nitroisoxazole with trifluoromethyl ketones employing a bifunctional squaramide organocatalyst has been developed. A series of isoxazole bearing trifluoromethyl-substituted tertiary alcohols, 2-substituted (R)-1,1,1-trifluoro-3-(3-methyl-4-nitroisoxazol-5-yl)propan-2-ols, were obtained under these mild reaction conditions in good yields and moderate to good enantioselectivities

The study of moral judgements often centres on moral dilemmas in which options consistent with deontological perspectives (that is, emphasizing rules, individual rights and duties) are in conflict with options consistent with utilitarian judgements (that is, following the greater good based on consequences). Greene et al. Positive solutions for nonlinear Robin problems

We consider a parametric Robin problem driven by the p-Laplacian with an indefinite potential and with a superlinear reaction term which does not satisfy the Ambrosetti-Rabinowitz condition. We look for positive solutions. We prove a bifurcation-type theorem describing the nonexistence, existence and multiplicity of positive solutions as the parameter varies. We also show the existence of a minimal positive solution $\tilde{u}_\lambda$ and establish the monotonicity and continuity of the map $\lambda\to \tilde{u}_\lambda$.

Depressive symptoms and long-term income: The Young Finns Study

Abstract Background Higher depressive symptoms have been associated with lower future income. However, studies examining this issue have had limited follow-up times and have used self-reported measures of income. Also, possible confounders or mediators have not been accounted. Methods 971 women and 738 men were selected from the ongoing prospective Young Finns Study (YFS) that began in 1980. Depressive symptoms were measured in 1992 when participants were from 15 to 30 years old. This study concerns the new financial threshold of punishability introduced by legislative decree n. 8/2016 for the criminal offence of failing to pay pension and welfare deductions (art. 2 legis. Decree n. 463/ 1983). After a critical examination of the first interventions of the Supreme Court on its theoretical framework, the essay analyses the significant relationships between the harmfulness of the offence and the threshold itself, to individuate its legal nature.
