Acquired amusia is a common disorder after damage to the middle cerebral artery (MCA) territory. However, its neurocognitive mechanisms, especially the relative contribution of perceptual and cognitive factors, are still unclear. We studied cognitive and auditory processing in the amusic brain by performing neuropsychological testing as well as magnetoencephalography (MEG) measurements of frequency and duration discrimination using magnetic mismatch negativity (MMNm) recordings. This study explores the mechanism that contributes to travel intention in the field of virtual tourism. The overall research method is based on the "Stimulus-Organism-Response" theory. In the research model, the effects of content quality, system quality, and interaction quality in virtual tourism on tourism experience and travel intention are explored, as well as the role of virtual attachment and travel intention. A total of 390 respondents were invited to participate in a virtual tourism experience, and provide feedback through a questionnaire. In this work we have explored the nature of macroradicals formed upon radiolysis of aqueous poly(N-vinylpyrrolidone) (PVP) solutions using pulse radiolysis, density functional theory (DFT) and literature data. On the basis of literature data on site-specific kinetics of hydrogen abstraction from simple amides and spectra corresponding to specific radical sites on the same amides we have assessed the distribution of H-atom abstraction by `OH radicals from different positions on the pyrrolidone ring and the polymer backbone. AbstractWe apply the Google matrix algorithms for analysis of interactions and influence of 37 cancer types, 203 cancer drugs and 195 world countries using the network of 5 416 537 English Wikipedia articles with all their directed hyperlinks. The PageRank algorithm provides the importance order of cancers which has 60% and 70% overlaps with the top 10 cancers extracted from World Health Organization GLOBOCAN 2018 and Global Burden of Diseases Study 2017, respectively. A distributed genetic algorithm for restoration of vertical line scratches

This paper reports a distributed algorithm for the restoration of still frames corrupted by vertical line scratches. The restoration is here approached as an optimisation problem, and is solved using an ad-hoc Genetic Algorithm. The distributed algorithm is designed following a pipeline logical structure. The front end is a network of standard workstations with heterogeneous operating systems. The quality of image is appreciable and the computational time is quite low with respect the sequential version.
