VoiP performance analysis in IEEE802.16 networks

WiMAX, as known as IEEE standard 802.16, is a wide range broadband wireless access network which has a significant good support for the quality of service. According to IEEE standard 802.16e WiMAX has support also for mobility. One of the key advantages of the WiMAX network is the possibility to assign QoS parameters as connection based. A good example of traffic type having strict QoS demands is VoIP. VoIP will probably be a killer application in the future's broadband wireless networks because of its cost efficiency compared to circuit switched networks. In this paper, we analyze by extensive simulations how QoS is applied per connection, especially for the VoIP connection.

AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK) is a metabolic master switch expressed in a great number of cells and tissues. AMPK is thought to modulate the cellular response to different stresses that increase cellular AMP concentration. The adenosine analog, 5-aminoimidazole-4-carboxamide-1-β-D-ribofuranoside (AICAR) is an AMPK activator used in many studies to assess the effects of AMPK activation on cellular metabolism and function. Next-generation sequencing was exploited to gain deeper insight into the response to infection by Candidatus liberibacter asiaticus (CaLas), especially the immune disregulation and metabolic dysfunction caused by source-sink disruption. Previous fruit transcriptome data were compared with additional RNA-Seq data in three tissues: immature fruit, and young and mature leaves. Four categories of orchard trees were studied: symptomatic, asymptomatic, apparently healthy, and healthy. Huanglongbing (HLB) or "citrus greening" is the most destructive citrus disease worldwide. In this work, we studied host responses of citrus to infection with Candidatus Liberibacter asiaticus (CaLas) using next-generation sequencing technologies. A deep mRNA profile was obtained from peel of healthy and HLB- affected fruit. It was followed by pathway and protein-protein network analysis and quantitative real time PCR analysis of highly regulated genes. This research paper reports on the iterative design of a teaching framework developed for teaching Enterprise Systems ES classes for Information Systems IS graduates. These systems embed technical complexity and create organizational challenges when implemented in organizations. Therefore, teaching good ES classes is pedagogically challenging for faculty, and ES curricula are difficult for students. Stochastic models for wind speed forecasting

Abstract This paper is concerned with the problem of developing a general class of stochastic models for hourly average wind speed time series. The proposed approach has been applied to the time series recorded during 4 years in two sites of Sicily, a region of Italy, and it has attained valuable results in terms both of modelling and forecasting. Moreover, the 24 h predictions obtained employing only 1-month time series are quite similar to those provided by a feed-forward artificial neural network trained on 2 years data.
