Factors associated with the timing of diagnosis of venous thromboembolism: results from the MASTER registry

INTRODUCTION: Signs and symptoms of venous thromboembolism (VTE) are non-specific and thus can make diagnosis difficult, even for an experienced clinician. We aimed to evaluate the timing of diagnosis of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE) in Italian hospitals and to identify individual and clinical predictors of timely or delayed diagnosis. MATERIAL AND METHODS: MASTER is a multicenter prospective registry of patients with acute DVT and PE. Tässä pro gradu -tutkielmassa tarkastellaan venäjää kotikielenään puhuvien oppilaiden suomen ja venäjän kielen kirjallisten taitojen diagnosointia. Tutkimuksen tavoitteena on selvittää miten venäjä äidinkielenä ja suomi toisena kielenä opettajat ottavat oppilaan taustan huomioon, miten he diagnosoivat heidän kielellisiä vahvuuksia sekä heikkouksia ja kuinka he auttavat oppilaitaan vaikeuksien ilmetessä. Aihe on ajankohtainen, sillä venäjänkielisten määrä Suomessa on kasvanut viime vuosina nopeasti. 1980-luvun lopulla Mihail Gorbatšovin aloittamat reformit mahdollistivat venäläisten rockmuusikoiden lähdön ulkomaille. Moni suuntasi Yhdysvaltoihin, jossa glasnostin myötä oli herännyt runsaasti kiinnostusta venäläiseksi miellettyjä ilmiöitä kohtaan. Kiinnostus ilmeni kuitenkin ennen kaikkea mediassa, kaupallisen menestyksen jäädessä laihaksi. En partant de l'hypothèse de Rizzolatti et collègues (1998, 2007) d'un isomorphisme originaire entre phonétique et sémantique, l'article analyse le rapport entre les différences phonologiques et les différences sémantiques dans quatre ensembles de mots monosyllabiques italiens (monophonèmes, pronoms, verbes et adverbes) et montre que les signifiants tendent à s'opposer entre eux par le biais des traits phonologiques distinctifs comme les signifiés s'opposent par le biais de traits morphologiques et sémantiques. Structure and dynamics in liquid bismuth and Bin clusters: A density functional study

Density functional/molecular dynamics simulations with more than 500 atoms have been performed on liquid bismuth at 573, 773, 923, and 1023 K and on neutral Bi clusters with up to 14 atoms. There are similar structural patterns (coordination numbers, bond angles, and ring patterns) in the liquid and the clusters, with significant differences from the rhombohedral crystalline form. Tēmas aktualitāte: Akūts vidusauss iekaisums (AVI) joprojām ir viena no biežākajām bērnu infekcijas slimībām. Tas tiek uzskatīts arī kā galvenais antibiotiku ordinēšanas iemesls bērniem- gan Eiropā, gan citur pasaulē. Pareizai slimības diagnostikai un terapijai ir svarīga nozīme iespējamo AVI komplikāciju prevencijā. Darba mērķis: Retrospektīvā un prospektīvā pētījumā noskaidrot, pēc kādām pazīmēm un simptomiem Latvijas bērnu veselības aprūpes sistēmā tiek noteikta akūta vidusauss iekaisuma diagnoze, kāda terapija tiek ordinēta un kādi ir slimības iznākumi, salīdzināt pētījumā iegūtos rezultātus ar literatūrā pieejamiem datiem un rekomendācijām.
