“Äänestin jaloillani!” Ammatin vaihtaneiden varhaiskasvatuksen opettajien näkökulmia työn ja toimintakulttuuriin muutokseen

Huoli ammatinvaihtajien määrästä opetus- ja kasvatusalalla on yleistynyt Suomessa kuluneen vuosikymmenen aikana. Tässä tutkimuksessa tarkastelemme ammatista poistuneiden varhaiskasvatuksen opettajien (n = 164) kokemuksia ammatinvaihtoon johtaneista tekijöistä sekä ammatinvaihdon asemoitumista työuran eri vaiheisiin. Monimenetelmällisen tutkimuksen analyysitapoina olivat laadullinen sisällönanalyysi sekä tilastollinen vertailu. The aim of this paper is to discuss the Finnish education system from an Indonesian perspective, and consider what citizens, notably from middle-income countries, may learn from the Finnish system. The source material is the author’s book, which provides an Indonesian perspective on the Finnish education system, supplemented by discussions from webinars and weekly Instagram Live discussions on the topic. Tiny Citizenship, Twisted Politics, and Christian Love in a Ugandan Church Choir

In 1977, the Archbishop of the Church of Uganda, Janani Luwum, was killed under orders from President Idi Amin following his public criticism of Amin’s reign of terror. This article offers an ethnographic case study of a choir named in Luwum’s honour to extend existing research on the interrelations of Christianity, citizenship, and politics in contemporary Uganda. To do so, I draw a number of conceptual tools – tiny citizenship, authentic citizenship, twisted politics, and love – from work by and referencing Hannah Arendt, James Baldwin, and Gary Alan Fine. This article analyzes the origins of generalized trust in Finnish society and how this relates to trust in education. The study was based on a historical analysis of the role of education in building a Finnish society and nation state. The author discusses the development of a Nordic welfare state and analyzes the relationships between generalized trust and education from the perspectives of democracy, corruption, egalitarian attitudes, wealth, and culture. The engagement of civil society actors in energy generation can be defined by the term community energy. Community energy initiatives have increased in several countries. This thesis aims at better understanding how this phenomenon emerges and how it can contribute to the decarbonization of our economy.
