Comparative linguistics seems to suggest that the gap between two languages can be filled by grammar. But mapping the structural gaps between languages hardly makes for the more fundamental gap that is created by the writing of a new text, a supposedly identical addendum to the first. The main challenge of intelligent transportation systems (ITS) is to deal with ‘real-time’ information to improve vehicular traffic management. Road data can be processed and used for dynamic traffic light management in order to reduce waiting times in queues. The chapter analyses security relations between the US and the EU, as reflected in the new agenda of transatlantic security relations and in its outcomes. Differences in international actorness, in the strategic culture and in threat perception between the two international actors are analyzed. It is noted that, the emerging of security challenges not strictly of a military type, most often transnational in nature, creates an incentive for the two actors to cooperate. Partendo da una lettura critica dell'ultimo studio monografico in materia di 'translatio iudicii' (F. Erxleben, Translatio iudicii. Der Parteiwechsel im römischen Formularprozess, München 2017) si affrontano alcuni nodi relativo a questo tema di indagine e si propongono nuovi spunti di riflessione con particolare riferimento alle modalità con cui, nel sistema del processo formulare, si doveva intervenire sul programma di giudizio per modificarlo in seguito a translatio iudicii.

Characteristics of the translation product are often used in translation process research as predictors for cognitive load, and by extension translation difficulty. Badania historyczno-systemowe procesów w wielkich społeczno-terytorialnych systemach: metody modelowania semantycznego w sektorze transportu

Artykuł prezentuje metody modelowania semantycznego procesów zachodzących w sektorze transportu państw członkowskich UE i analizę historyczno-systemową grupy systemów terytorialno-społecznych (STS)w porównywaniu z innymi systemami. Za podstawę przyjęto semantykę opartą na taksonomii transportu kolejowego. Badano zmiany infrastruktury i pracy przewozowej na tle procesów wytwarzania PKB. Analizą objęto retrospektywnie okresy 30-, 20- i 15-letnie. Modelowanie identyfikuje zmiany fazowe w STS, obiektywizuje oceny wpływu czynników geopolitycznych na rozwój i trendy przed- i pokryzysowe.
Analiza procesów transportowych w systemach społeczno - terytorialnych w kontekście zjawiska glokalizacji

W artykule przedstawiono wyniki analizy procesów rozwoju regionalnego sektorów TSL (ST) wielkich systemów społeczno -terytorialnych (STS) w kontekście zjawisk globalizacyjnych i glokalizacyjnych.Analiza klasteryzacji terytorialnej i funkcjonalnej jest oparta o modele korelacyjne dynamiki czasowej i zbieżności strukturalno - funkcjonalnej infrastruktury kolejowej jako bazy ST w skalach czasowych – 150, 50 i 30 lat z oceną kwasi - okresowości i zbieżności na zbiorze 56 państw i wielkich STS – hiper-regionów z najbardziej rozwiniętymi ST. Udowodniono zmienność okresowości cykli zbieżności procesów i możliwość identyfikacji STS jako hiper-regionów transportowych.
