This qualitative study aims to analyse the worldview that emerges in the textbooks of Turkish imam and preacher high schools (úmam hatip lisesi). The study material consists of eight textbooks that belong to the vocational religious education of Turkish imams. All of the textbooks were published around 2010. In this study, theoretical considerations regarding the essence of worldview (Weltanschauung) are summarized into an existential model of worldview (EKMA). The model provides two viewpoints from which to understand the worldview under study. Kun suomalaisuudesta puhutaan, lähestytään sitä usein ihmisten, kulttuurin ja luonnon kautta. Myös urheilu on suomalaisuuspohdintojen kestoteema. Urheilupuheessa on tuotettu ja tuote- taan edelleen käsityksiä suomalaisuudesta sekä muista kansallisuuksista. Suomalaisilla on esimerkiksi omat suosikkilajinsa ja joitakin nostetaan kansallisurheilun asemaan. Jääkiekkoa pidetään tätä nykyä kansallisurheiluna. This paper argues that New Labour's devolution proposals can be seen as part of a strategy of « political distinction » from the Conservative party, all the more necessary as there had been a conspicuous convergence in most other policy areas. After retracing the history of Labour attitudes towards Home Rule on the periphery of the United Kingdom in the XXth century, the paper focuses on the contemporary period, suggesting that Thatcherism was perceived as an “alien” doctrine in both Scotland and Wales, thus hardening the resolve of a significant part of the population to loosen or break the old constitutional ties. Piipponen, Mäntymäki and Rodi-Risberg suggest that many contemporary crime narratives across the globe host a heightened interest in diverse and ambiguous mobilities, border crossings and borderlands. They propose that such mobilities and crossings reflect on recent sociocultural developments on local and global levels and communicate specific geopolitical anxieties.
