Is There Anything New to Say About SIFT Matching?

SIFT is a classical hand-crafted, histogram-based descriptor that has deeply influenced research on image matching for more than a decade. In this paper, a critical review of the aspects that affect SIFT matching performance is carried out, and novel descriptor design strategies are introduced and individually evaluated. These encompass quantization, binarization and hierarchical cascade filtering as means to reduce data storage and increase matching efficiency, with no significant loss of accuracy. Through the latest decision of uncostitutionality regarding article 656 c.p.p., the Constitutional Court strengthened the personalization of the treatment and re-education of convicted minors. The decision states that juvenile delinquency enforcement must leave any rigid automatism and favor the use of alternative resocializing measures, in line with international, conventional and European guidelines. La protezione dell’ambiente è un’esigenza mondiale ed è interessante notare come i Paesi più inquinanti si stanno adoperando nell’adottare politiche che mirano all’uso di energie alternative per diminuire l’emissione di gas serra nell’atmosfera. Fra questi paesi si è scelto di approfondire le scelte della Cina che sta mostrando grande sensibilità alla protezione dell’ambiente sostituendo in parte la produzione di energia tradizionale con quella da fonti alternative. Questa ricerca analizza in particolare: l’energia solare, l’energia idroelettrica, l’energia eolica e l’energia nucleare che per la loro importanza hanno un ruolo prevalente nelle politiche energetiche di questo Paese.

Summary. Aims: Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is a functional intestinal disorder. This syndrome may creates psychological disorders in patients who are affected and severely limits daily activities and lifestyle. Methods: We investigated the effect of the natural product consisting of chamomile, fennel, caraway, passionflower and melissa (Spasmicol®), on IBS patients. For the study, 187 patients with IBS, enrolled by primary care doctors, were treated with Spasmicol® (Aristeia Farmaceutici s.r.l.), two tablets/daily, for 30 days. Objective: Nowadays, an optional and effective medical surgery remains the gold standard for perianal fistulas. Hereby we reported preliminary rsults in favor of using Argentum-Quartz solution for both primary and recurrent perianal fisrtulas. Methods: Three patients with intersphimncter and extrasphinteric fistulas were enrolled. Argentum-Quartz solution was administrated twice a week for sa period of 4 weeks, followed by a pause of 8 days and then another 4 weeks of treatment, totally 16 administrations.
