Abstract Controlled assessment of functional cortical networks is an unmet need in the clinical research of noncooperative subjects, such as infants. We developed an automated, pneumatic stimulation method to actuate naturalistic movements of an infant’s hand, as well as an analysis pipeline for assessing the elicited electroencephalography (EEG) responses and related cortical networks. Twenty newborn infants with perinatal asphyxia were recruited, including 7 with mild-to-moderate hypoxic–ischemic encephalopathy (HIE). Adaptive variable structure fuzzy neural identification and control for a class of MIMO nonlinear system

This paper presents a novel adaptive variable structure (AVS) method to design a fuzzy neural network (FNN). This AVS-FNN is based on radial basis function (RBF) neurons, which have center and width vectors. The network performs sequential learning through sliding data window reflecting system dynamic changes, and dynamic growing-and-pruning structure of FNN. Service Provisioning with Multiple Service Providers in 5G Ultra-dense Small Cell Networks

In this work, a game theoretical approach for addressing the virtual network service providers (NSPs), small cell provider (SCP) and user interaction in heterogenous small cell networks is presented. In particular, we consider the users can select the services of different NSPs based on their prices.
