Pro gradu – tutkielmani aiheena on Jani Leinosen Taidetuunaamo – projekti vuodelta 2007. Tutkin aihettani nykytaiteen kentän ilmiönä ja tutkielmani pyrkii vastaamaan kysymykseen kuinka Tuunaamo haastaa nykytaiteen kenttää Suomessa? Mitä tekijyys Tuunaamon kaltaisessa nykytaiteen projektissa voi olla ja mitä se tarkoittaa? Tekijyyden käsitteen lisäksi pohdin tekijänoikeuksia, mitä ne sisältävät ja millainen suhde niillä on Tuunaamon kaltaiseen projektiin. Tekijyyteen liittyvänä seikkana voidaan nähdä myös poliittisuus, jota lähestyn ennen kaikkea vallankäytön muotona. Quasiparticle properties of nonequilibrium gluon plasma

We apply classical gluodynamics to early stages of ultrarelativistic heavy-ion collisions. We start by giving a brief overview of QCD. Then we proceed to the space-time evolution of ultrarelativistic heavy-ion collisions in the color glass condensate framework and go through the basics of real-time gluodynamics on the lattice in the temporal gauge. We study the plasmon mass scale in three- and two-dimensional systems by comparing three different methods to measure the mass scale. Synthesis of oxazolidinones from N-aryl-carbamate and epichlorohydrin under mild conditions

The reaction conditions for an enantiospecific synthesis of various N-aryl-oxazolidinones from N-aryl-carbamates and (R) or (S) epichlorohydrin were optimized. The N-aryl-oxazolidinones were applied to the synthesis of compounds of biological interest such as DuP 721, toloxatone and a linezolid analogue.

Baculovirus-mediated immediate-early gene expression and nuclear reorganization in human cells

Baculovirus, Autographa californica multiple nucleopolyhedrovirus (AcMNPV), has the ability to transduce mammalian cell lines without replication. The general objective of this study was to detect the transcription and expression of viral immediate-early genes in human cells and to examine the interactions between viral components and subnuclear structures. Viral capsids were seen in large, discrete foci in nuclei of both dividing and non-dividing human cells. Concurrently, the transcription of viral immediate-early transregulator genes (ie-1, ie-2) and translation of IE-2 protein were detected. A Perturbed Cauchy Viscoelastic Problem in an Exterior Domain

A Cauchy viscoelastic problem perturbed by an inverse-square potential, and posed in an exterior domain of RN, is considered under a Dirichlet boundary condition. Using nonlinear capacity estimates specifically adapted to the non-local nature of the problem, the potential function and the boundary condition, we establish sufficient conditions for the nonexistence of weak solutions.
