Effect of aerobic exercise and diet on liver fat in pre-diabetic patients with non-alcoholic-fatty-liver-disease: A randomized controlled trial.

AbstractThe study aimed to assess whether aerobic exercise (AEx) training and a fibre-enriched diet can reduce hepatic fat content (HFC) and increase glycaemic control in pre-diabetic patients with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). Six-hundred-and-three patients from seven clinics in Yangpu district, Shanghai, China were recruited. Of them 115 individuals aged 50–65-year fulfilled the inclusion criteria (NAFLD with impaired fasting glucose or impaired glucose tolerance) and were randomly assigned into exercise (AEx n = 29), diet (Diet n = 28), exercise plus diet (AED n = 29), or no-intervention (NI n = 29) groups. The internationalization of firms has led to boards becoming more international as well. In this study, we investigate the consequences of board internationalization. In particular, by drawing on research on language and board dynamics, we identify theory-based reasons why board internationalization could increase, or decrease, earnings management practices. We use agency theory, stressing how board internationalization may positively or negatively affect monitoring quality of boards. Her forsøker jeg å applisere erkjennelses- og identitesaspektet på tekstens formale dimensjon. I denne delen av oppgaven ser vi hvordan den impliserte forfatteren kompliserer forståelsesprosessen ved sin tilbaketrukkethet. Fortelleren medierer situasjoner nøytralt, uten ytterligere forklaringer og vurderinger. Resultatet er en diskurs som ligner på fotografienes virkelighetsgjengivelse og filmens montasjeteknikk, og den mosaikken teksten skaper tvinger leseren inn i en aktiv deltakelse fordi sammenhengen ikke ligger ferdig fortolket. The healthy Nordic diet predicts muscle strength 10 years later in old women, but not old men

Background a number of nutrients have been found to be associated with better muscle strength and mass; however, the role of the whole diet on muscle strength and mass remains still unknown. Objective to examine whether the healthy Nordic diet predicts muscle strength, and mass 10 years later among men and women. Methods about 1,072 participants belong to the Helsinki Birth Cohort Study, born 1934–44. Diet was assessed with a validated food-frequency questionnaire during 2001–04. The Nordic diet score (NDS) was calculated.
