De novo CCND2 mutations leading to stabilization of cyclin D2 cause megalencephaly-polymicrogyria-polydactyly-hydrocephalus syndrome

Activating mutations in genes encoding phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase (PI3K)-AKT pathway components cause megalencephaly-polymicrogyria-polydactyly-hydrocephalus syndrome (MPPH, OMIM 603387)(1-3). Here we report that individuals with MPPH lacking upstream PI3K-AKT pathway mutations carry de novo mutations in CCND2 (encoding cyclin D2) that are clustered around a residue that can be phosphorylated by glycogen synthase kinase 313 (GSK-3 beta)(4). Mutant CCND2 was resistant to proteasomal degradation in vitro compared to wild-type CCND2. Day and night rhythms of melatonin and serotonin were measured in four female anorexia nervosa patients and for comparison in a control group with normal 28-day menstrual cycle. In the anorexia nervosa group the levels of gonadotropins and sexual steroids were distinctly lowered. In the LHRH test the hormonal profile showed pubertal to prepubertal patterns of secretion with an only moderate increase of LH and distinct shifting of the LH/FSH ratio in direction of FSH. The main goal of the Soil Moisture and Ocean Salinity (SMOS) mission over land surfaces is the production of global maps of soil moisture (SM) and vegetation optical depth (τ) based on multi-angular brightness temperature (TB) measurements at L-band. The operational SMOS Level 2 and Level 3 soil moisture algorithms account for different surface effects, such as vegetation opacity and soil roughness at 4 km resolution, in order to produce global retrievals of SM and τ. Normalizēto slāpekļa un fosfora savienojumu upju slodžu izvērtējums no 2000.-2011.gadam Latvijā

Pētījumā analizētas slāpekļa un fosfora un to savienojumu slodzes, izmantojot četras dažādas aprēķinu metodes – divas faktiskās un divas normalizēto upju slodžu aprēķinu metodes. Rezultātā noteikts, ka aprēķinu rezultāti var atšķirties, turklāt atsevišķos gadījumos starp rezultātiem sasniedzot vairāk nekā 50% starpību, tomēr metodes ir savstarpēji salīdzināmas. Modelējot normalizētās upju slodzes kā, galvenais, mainīgais laikā ir upes caurplūdums un, veicot slodžu modelēšanu, iegūtie rezultāti liecina, ka normalizēto slodžu aprēķini lielākoties pie maziem upes caurplūdumiem dod ievērojami lielākas upju slodzes, bet pie augstākiem upes caurplūdumiem – ievērojami zemākas. Il saggio cerca di ricostruire le dinamiche familiari di fronte alla scoperta di una/un figlia/o LGBT. Il contributo, nello specifico, intende delineare i processi di reazione a quanto ancora possiamo definire un rapporto di filiazione imprevista, un evento di fatto spiazzante che porta alla ridefinizione degli equilibri famigliari attraverso il diverso ruolo svolto dalle differenze personali (per esempio, il genere dei genitori), socio-culturali e rispetto alle risorse disponibili (reti sociali, strategie di fronteggiamento, ecc.) possedute nel momento in cui la sessualità dei propr* figli* viene socializzata, sospettata, scoperta o appresa da terzi all’interno dei contesti familiari.
