The modification of lipid composition allows cells to adjust membrane biophysical properties in response to changes in environmental temperature. Here, we use adaptive laboratory evolution (ALE) in the presence of myriocin, a sphingolipid (SLs) biosynthesis inhibitor, to remodel the lipid profile of an industrial yeast strain (LH) of Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The approach enabled to obtain a heterogeneous population (LHev) of myriocin‐tolerant evolved clones characterized by its growth capacity at high temperature. Sensory adaptation has been measured in the antennae of male Grapholita molesta (Busck) after 15 min of exposure to its main pheromone compound (Z)-8-dodecen-1-yl acetate (Z8-12:OAc) at the aerial concentration of 1 ng/m(3) measured in orchards treated with pheromone for mating disruption. Exposing males to this aerial concentration of Z8-12:OAc for 15 min, however, had only a small effect on their ability to orientate by flight to virgin calling females in a flight tunnel. Šajā bakalaura darbā tiek pētīti nosaukšanas strateģias Kena Kizijā romānā „Kāds pārlaidās pār dzeguzes ligzdu” (1962). Šī darbā mērķis ir noskaidrot, kā tēlu vārdu izveidošana stratēģijas, iespējami varētu ietekmēt uz kopējo personāža tēlu. Lai veiktu analīzi, tika noteikts teorētiskais pamats. Šī pētījuma empīriskās daļas metode ir teksta analīze. Analīzes korpusā tika izpetīti 14 varoņu vārdi, kuri tika izvēlēti saskaņā ar to nozīmi sižetā attistībā. Turklāt, tika izpetīt iespējami vārdu veidošanas strateģijas, ka arī analīzi izteiksmīgos līdzekļus izvēlētos vārdos. The inference of causality is a crucial cognitive ability and language processing is no exception: recent research suggests that, across different languages, the human language comprehension system attempts to identify the primary causer of the state of affairs described (the “actor”) quickly and unambiguously (Bornkessel-Schlesewsky and Schlesewsky, 2009). This identification can take place verb-independently based on certain prominence cues (e.g., case, word order, animacy). Stereoselective syntheses of the delta-lactone of (2Z,5S,7R,9S,11S)-tetrahydroxyhexacos-2-enoic acid, the structure reported for passifloricin A, and of its (5R)-epimer are described. The creation of all stereogenic centers relied upon Brown's asymmetric allylation methodology. The lactone ring was created via ring-closing metathesis. The NMR data of both synthetic products, however, were different from those of the natural product. The published structure of passifloricin A is thus erroneous and will require further synthetic work to be unambiguously assigned. [structure: see text]

Šīs bakalaura darba mērķis ir analizēt savstarpēju saziņas funkciju rīcības kodeksā, lai identificētu rīcības kodeksā dominējošo savstarpējas saziņas funkciju veidu. Pētījuma metode ir literatūras aptauja un kvalitatīva analīze, kā arī savstarpējas saziņas funkcijas kvantitatīva analīze. Analīze tika veikta, lai palīdzētu labāk izprast tekstu. This paper discusses the pronominal system of Louisiana French, a variety of French spoken mainly in the south-western part of Louisiana State.
 The analysis of data (Girard Lomheim, 2016) shows that although Louisiana French clitics share certain features with clitics from other informal varieties of French and dialects of French, they cannot be analysed along quite the same lines. Useista tutkimuksista huolimatta kummankaan lähestymistavan paremmuutta ei ole pystytty osoittamaan. Deduktiivinen lähestymistapa seuraa perinteisempiä opetusmetodeja, joissa säännöt ja esimerkit annetaan ensin, ja tämän jälkeen oppilaat soveltavat oppimaansa useissa tehtävissä. Induktiivinen lähestymistapa puolestaan lähestyy opetettavaa asiaa päinvastaiselta kannalta, jossa oppilaat itse päättelevät säännöt useista esimerkeistä.
