Background Guidelines for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) recommend that treatment choices be based partly on symptoms. Methods A post-hoc analysis of pooled data from clinical studies compared the efficacy and safety of once-daily inhaled bronchodilators indacaterol (150 and 300 μg) and open-label tiotropium (18 μg) according to baseline dyspnoea severity on the modified Medical Research Council (mMRC) scale in patients with COPD (mMRC scores <2 = ‘less dyspnoea’; scores ≥2 = ‘more dyspnoea’). In 431 000 hadronicZ decays recorded with the ALEPH detector at LEP, the yields of electrons and muons in events with one or more prompt leptons have been analysed to give information on the production and decay of heavy quarks. The fractions of $$b\bar b$$ and $$c\bar c$$ events are measured to be 0.219±0.006±0.005 and 0.165±0.005±0.020, and the corresponding forward-backward asymmetries at theZ mass are measured to be 0.090±0.013±0.003 and 0.111±0.021±0.018, after QED and QCD corrections. In this Letter, the effect of F(4)-TCNQ insertion at the anode/hole transport layer (HTL) interface was studied on joule heating and the lifetime of organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs). Joule heating was found to reduce significantly (pixel temperature decrease by about 10 K at a current density of 40 mA/cm(2)) by this insertion. However, the lifetime was found to reduce significantly with a 1 nm thick F(4)-TCNQ layer, and it improved by increasing the thickness of this layer. Thermal diffusion of F(4)-TCNQ into HTL leads to F(4)-TCNQ ionization by charge transfer, and drift of these molecules into the emissive layer caused faster degradation of the OLEDs. ABSTRACTLight-emitting electrochemical cells (LECs) are one of the simplest electroluminescent devices. The possibility to be processed from solution and to operate with air-stable materials makes them an attractive alternative to organic light emitting diodes (OLEDs). Still their efficiencies are below those obtained in OLEDs. Additionally the best efficiencies were reported at low luminances and sustained for a short period of time. We performed a study level pooled analysis from the five largest registries of percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) of CTO.
