Conditioned generalisation in generalised anxiety disorder : the role of concurrent perceptual and conceptual cues

Previous research in extinction indicates no difference in US expectancies for aversive and non-aversive unconditioned stimuli (USs). In this study, we bridged these topics by examining how concurrent perceptual and conceptual cues influence conditioned generalisation of generalised anxiety disorder (GAD) patients by using non-aversive USs. The study included two consecutive phases: acquisition and generalisation. Pupils’ mathematical self-concept in the beginning of the sixth grade

The article shows the mathematical self-concept of the sixth grade pupils (n=57) in relation to their mathematical skills in school. Mathematical skills were measured with the help of a survey of the command of the decimal system and on the basis of the report grades in mathematics. The pupils’ mathematical self-concept was surveyed in the beginning of the sixth grade with the interviews and a questionnaire using the Likert-scale. Rather than having a consistent food policy, countries often tend to regulate food from the margins of other policy domains such as agricultural, environmental, welfare or educational policies. Regulatory interventions perceive food as an instrument rather than a domain with its own specific set of policy issues and view food provision as an activity to achieve certain economic, social and environmental objectives. Words spoken by death row inmates moments before their execution can provide valuable insights into people's end-of-life communication needs and themes, conveying what individuals choose to express to others in the face of imminent death. Abstract As 99mTcCa phytate is an important radiopharmaceutical and its colloidal nature presents problems, we investigated some of them. This work describes the study of the colloidal behaviour of the calcium phytate colloid in terms of its formation, stability and kinetics of flocculation. The study of spontaneous, and centrifugation-induced flocculation allows the determination of two critical concentrations of sol flocculation. The titrations of calcium phytate colloid at different concentrations provide information on the colloidal formation conditions. Moreover, a study on flocculation kinetics was made by turbidity measurements.

This retrospective and descriptive 4-year study was undertaken to describe cardiac changes in subclinical and overt hyperthyroidism.We revised the charts of 386 consecutive cardiopathic women whose blood samples were referred to the Radioimmunoassay Laboratory to evaluate thyroid function from 1 January 1997 through 31 December 2000.After excluding women because euthyroid or hypothyroid, or taking amiodarone and women with hypertension, rheumatic disease, myocardial infarction, a total of 31 hyperthyroid women were thus selected for the study: 19 with subclinical hyperthyroidism and 12 with overt hyperthyroidism.
