Abstract Corneal dystrophies (CDs) represent a heterogenous group of genetic diseases (Lisch and Weiss, 2019). The International Committee of Classification of Corneal Dystrophies (IC3D) distinguishes between 22 distinct forms of corneal dystrophy (CD) which are predominantly autosomal dominant, although autosomal recessive and X-chromosomal dominant and recessive patterns do exist. Growing evidence suggests that diet alteration affects sleep, but this has not yet been studied in adults with insomnia symptoms. We aimed to determine the effect of a six-month diet intervention on sleep among overweight and obese (Body mass index, BMI >= 25 kg/m(2)) men with chronic insomnia symptoms. Forty-nine men aged 30-65 years with chronic insomnia symptoms were randomized into diet (n = 28) or control (n = 21) groups. Factors affecting the UV-Transparency of Molecular Sieves

The optical properties in the UV-region of several types of molecular sieves were studied. The initial onset of absorption around 280 nm which was observed for basically all samles synthesized without special precautions is not due to an early onset of band gap absorption, but might be correlated to the crystal size as well as structural defects within the crystals, e.g. E'-center or peroxy-radical. Using template free synthesis procedures which lead to small crystals containing few defect sites, we were able to synthesize molevular sieves which were almost completely transparent down to 200 nm. Such crystals can become very important in the development of technical luminophores.

Children complaints dizziness merit meticulous evaluation to differentially diagnose a vestibular disease. A syndrome mimicking certain classic signs and symptoms of adult vestibular disorders may be presents in children, such as benign paroxysmal positional vertigo, usually associated with aging. Benign paroxysmal vertigo, in which migraine is a manifestation, with sudden onset of dizziness is a rare peripheral vestibular disorder that is commonly ignored or misdiagnosed.
